AI has faster cars than you (even though you all drive the same rust-buckets) and rubberbanding more than in Forza Horizon 5. You will have a very bad time if you want to actually play career and progress in races. Also "save operation failed" and unable to save any settings for some reason.
This belongs in a trash bin.

I have years of experience in racing games, but I can't even get past the "tutorial" missions for this game because of how difficult the AI is.
Even playing Forza Horizon on Unbeatable Difficulty feels more fair and doable. I rarely dole out refunds, but I had no choice but to do so for this.

It's ok, but it has that catch up effect where the car ahead gets slow and the all cars behind get super fast, so the race is unfair, any advantage is meaningless and any mistake can cost all the positions.

Yep... it's only the nostalgia that talks. The AI is terrible. In order to win you gotta cheat the S out of that game... especially if you are with a potato car...
Back in 2005 or 6 I had ps2 and owned World Racing 1: mercedez benz. The game was super advanced for its time. Good music, realistic cars and locations. Not the biggest car fan but there were some games I really loved.
I never played the WR 2 but the nostalgia hit me. Thank you for bringing this game here for modern pc.
If you by any chance can get the 1st one, even without the licensed cars, I'm in! <3
PS - it is worth mention that by playing the game you unlock new maps and cars.
Cars can't be customized, but you can free road on unlocked maps and explore them in full for whoever time you want.
The game is old, but the areas look and feel alive.
