The game offers an engaging tactical experience, giving you freedom to approach missions either solo or as part of squad. It's one of the game's strongest points letting you strategize and adapt to situations. That's what I really liked. However the friendly AI or more like artificial dementia has flaws. The Squad members will stop moving while you scroll through them making them vulnerable to enemy AI, some commands aren't working at all and the health pack is mostly better option than other gadgets you can carry. The weapon balance is another issue. Sniper Rifles, in particular, are hard to control and pistols are best firearms you can get in the game next to SMGs and Rocket Launchers. When It comes to level design some levels are frustrating and some of them are rose garden. There is nothing in between. Level 6 and 7 altough 6 had little stutters these levels aren't really of an issue but level 9 was the most frustrating one. There are no health packs and almost no firearms to pick up and mines are hard to see. There are varitions of enemies like Commanders, Scouts, Snipers, Miniguners, Dogs and Tanks, etc. Their AI is so dumb that They can't hit you If you constantly move and Miniguners and Tanks are the most overpowered enemies you can encounter in the game. There is no point driving a vehicle cause multiple hits from miniguner and the vehicle is no more. Same goes with Tanks, one hit from Tank and your entire Squad is dead. What's also annoying is that you are unable to save in combat, so be sure to press f5 to quicksave If you can and some levels are better to be done solo. Overall really fun game but has a lot of issues which would need to be fixed like subtitles in End Cinematic. If you want to play this game cause of story don't expect any here.

I recommend this game, but with one reservation. The failure to provide saves while "in combat" creates an unnecessary difficulty in game progression and frustration. Either saves should be provided while "in combat" or the current system needs an overhaul. On some of the maps, if you fire one shot you can remain "in combat" for hours until you kill all the enemy or you have to go all the way back to start. The game is playable - particularly when playing with just one soldier instead of a team - but it would be a lot more functional and enjoyable with the "in combat" save system fixed.

It's not anything mind blowing, just a faithful update of the old games. Changes some things for modern audiences (quick-melee key, ironsights, enemy attention indicators) but feels very in line with the older titles. with the somewhat glaring exception of character permadeath. Personally for all it's faults, it manages to be engaging and tense, even if it lacks some punch when characters die. I encountered no bugs, but the polish is certainly lacking. The levels are a lot more linear than they first appear, so some plans you construct quickly fade into clearing small arenas of enemies. Additional (and more open) levels would be well worth the time to make them. Certainly not going to be for everyone, and the content appears a little thin, but I've enjoyed the time I put in sofar and found the game engaging enough that I'd like to play more. The format of the game is such that extra levels, DLC, or mission packs could theoretically be worked in seamlessly.

Really awesome! I was unaware that this was coming, but I am so glad I found it! I loved the series a few decades ago and this re-boot is great. Vastly improved visuals, but it kept the fell of the originals. From the janky voice lines and audio to the deadliest 12 men anywhere, it's all still here like you may remember it. Thanks for this, but you know we need the pacific now, right?

This game is great! I loved the old one. Everyone said it was very "buggy" but I didn't have the same experience, I thought it ran smooth. When this came out I was super excited. And now after playing for about 45 minutes it's exactly as I remember except up to today's standards. This game is not a run and gun. It is a slow, enjoy the scenery, the MUSIC, and take your time with tactics. If you owned this game previously many years ago, you'll absolutely love what they did with it. Update: Hate to say it but...don't buy it yet till they get a few patches out...if they do. Buggy enough that I don't really enjoy playing it. I had so much hopes.

I enjoyed playing Deadly Dozen Reloaded. The missions and maps are interesting. The game play is fun, Squad commands are easy to control. The improved resolutions help modernize the graphics a lot. But there are a lot of things in the game that recall 2001 such as character animations and the simplicity of the terrain and effects. Sounds are also not up to modern standards. But framerates are great even on older computers.
Deadly Remake
It could be an interesting remake of an old game, but it’s not. There are too many wrong things. The game offers ten missions. You can choose four soldiers from twelve and gear them up with only a few items: pistol, rifle, sniper rifle, Thompson, bazooka, med kit, binoculars, additional grenades, dynamite, anti-personal or anti-tank mine and coins. More weapons would be better. When you start a mission, you are controlling a squad of your four brave soldiers. You can switch between them or give them some basic orders like go there, follow me, hold position, hold your fire or fire at will. Nowadays, there aren't many games like this, but this one is nothing special. The UI of the wheel menu looks bad and the AI of your guys doesn’t mean artificial intelligence, but it’s more artificial idiocy. Some go for enemies, so prepare for some weird situations. There are quick saves that can save your time and nerves, but only if they work. In missions six and seven, you can use them only at the very beginning because, later on, for some reason, the game says you can’t save during combat even if no enemies are shooting at you. It can be frustrating because these two missions without saving can be frustrating. Speaking of combat, the game is a tactical shooter, so sounds are important here to hear the enemies from where they are shooting. Well, in Deadly Dozen Reloaded it’s impossible. Sounds of guns… all sounds in the game are bad and the stereo doesn’t work properly. Also, the effects are poor and reactions to hits are bad. Put all this together and you get bad gunplay. Last but not least, the optimization is not good. Most of the time, the game runs smoothly, but there are some lags, especially during mission six in locations with tall grass. There I got huge lags, nope it’s not by my RTX 3060ti, i5 11400 or “only” 16GB of RAM. A game like this should run like a charm. Maybe you will be surprised, but there are some pros as well. You can switch between 3rd and 1st person view, you can drive a car, truck or motorcycle with a sidecar, and you can swim. Also, each of the deadly dozen has different stats, and these are noticeable during gameplay. For example, if your soldier has sneaking at 100 points, enemies will spot him or hear him at a smaller distance. The game would have been better if every aspect had been completed, as it currently looks like an early access or beta version. There are too many cons to give it a positive rating. So do I recommend the game? Well, after reading my thoughts, I think you know the answer.

Deadly Dozen Reloaded 4.0/10

[th] 🟢 3rd and 1st person view 🟢 Different soldiers stats [/th][th] 🔴 Sounds and effects 🔴 Gunplay 🔴 AI 🔴 Bugs 🔴 Optimization [/th]

A lot of this game came across as being sketchy the moment I launched it. The fact that most of the game looks like an asset flip and the audio is compressed for some voices and well done for others while various animations looked to be ripped straight from other games told me I should probably refund it. The numerous Antivirus alerts when the game tried to re-open itself after I closed it are what made me leave this review.

Was quite excited for this as the trailers and screenshots made it look rather well done and it reminded me of the Hidden and Dangerous games, but unfortunately it was really shoddily made. It plays, looks and feels like a Unity asset flip and might as well be. Very disappointing, and as you can see by my very very small playtime I barely even finished the tutorial because I was so taken aback by how bad the UI looks, the graphics look, the animations, just everything feels very poorly made and half-hearted.

Deadly Dozen was somewhat of a flawed gem with a small cult following. It was a game developed by N-Fusion released in 2001 that had stealth elements, squad management, huge maps and drivable vehicles. It was one hell of an ambitious game, released in the times when most of first-person games used to be just small linear corridors. Sadly, it was a highly flawed game and realizing its ambitions came at the cost of graphical fidelity, flawed shooting mechanics and often frustrating level design. This is sort of a remake of that game, made by a tiny team at N-Fusion, using modern, standardized game engine. And as much as I would love to say, this is a great combat - it is not. "Reloaded" is a weird beast. On one hand it tries to recrate original game, without making any drastic changes to its gameplays and levels, but... at the same time it recreates it pretty much from scratch, using the original as a reference. It seems to be that N-Fusion is really struggling in the last decade, as when you look at the credits, you will essentially see only 4 developers from N-Fusion that worked on the game (and an external studio that provided some animations, textures and models). In a way, it is impressive what the developer managed to achieve with such a small team. But at the same time, it doesn't change the fact, that "Reloaded" is - sadly - not very good. Skipping questionable art style, cartoonish faces and loads of tiny graphical issues (not to mention performance) - the game just feels dated, especially in terms of shooting. Whatever it was lack of resources to polish it out or decision to not deviate too much from original and how it handled character statistics - it just doesn't change the fact that shooting in this game is a chore. And while its more opened nature and vehicles at times show glimpse of hope, they quickly fade, as the level design kills them, ultimately ending up being a game, where you run with 3 other soldiers and switching to them only because of them having specific weapon or stats that allow you to actually do any damage to the target that is less than 50 metres from you. The game is probably NOT beyond the point of saving, as it could - possibly - be turned into a good title, if shooting was reworked drastically, while squad management was made less tedious and more satisfying. A COOP could also work wonders - but we all know that at least that last one ain't going to happen, with how badly N-Fusion was doing lately. And again - in a way - it makes me sad to see, as it's a developer that over a decade ago had great talent and ambitions... but time clearly hasn't been kind to it. A for effort for such a small team... but E for execution.
