While this game is a competent jigsaw game, its main problems lie with the art. It's nice to look at when complete, but it's too washed out to be engaging while you're actually putting the piece together. Most puzzles will consist of "coloured blotches" ranging in a few colour palettes slowly changing hues and about one or two parts that can be considered distinct. If only the game had strong, vibrant art with a good amount of detail, it would be a great game, but as it stands, it's merely passable if you go for low piece count and downright impossible if you go for the max pieces. Developers, please release this with some REALLY strong art and I'll gladly buy this game again!

Concept is cute but when the top 3 free browser jigsaw games all beat this for controls... yikes. Also no rotation option? I got sucked in by 1000 piece count (too many jigsaw games top out at about 300). Negatives: -If I scatter the pieces, they should ya know, scatter? No, let's line them up in a one piece line and leave the entire rest of the screen empty... -Let's make it take twenty tries for pieces to snap together -No click and drag so can't move groups of pieces around -No rotation -Five minute after opening, I've rage-quit and gone back to browser games with lower piece counts, but far superior controls.

(reviewed: 2020-05-29) v1.035 Positives+++ +I like the continue button that goes to the next puzzle. +Story is written in an intriguing way making you always want to know more. +Music is very enjoyable. +Puzzle is saved when quitting and getting back at it. +There is a lot of customisation. +I like the different puzzle shapes, I think they are cool! +I like the achievements icons both incompleted and completed. I think they are pretty, specially the one with a black diamond-shape when incomplete and a white diamond-shape when completed. Observations and suggestions~~~ Note: I'm comparing features and bugs with the previous title of the same series: "My Jigsaw Adventures - Roads of Life" ~Compared to the previous game: the music still has not been smooth out on the scene transition sometime switching from loud to relaxing or to relaxing to loud. ~Compared to the previous game: there is still a bug with the sound when finishing a puzzle and being on the screen with time it took to complete the puzzle or when on the outro. The soundtrack should at least loop instead of stop completely. ~Compared to the previous game: same annoying bell sound effect. ~Compared to the previous game: there is still no option to change the background to something more neutral. Currently, it's the final picture that is displayed zoomed in on the whole puzzle background screen. More neutral backgrounds would be nice. ~Compared to the previous game: it would be nice to be able to skip the intro/outro once replaying puzzle. This behavior is still the same as the previous game. ~Compared to the previous game: there is still no option to pause the game when going afk. Timer continue when the game is out of focus. ~Compared to the previous game: pieces are still not spread out very much when the game begins. There is a few options to display pieces, but there should be more spreading option so that we can target puzzle piece easily. ~Compared to the previous game: there is still blurry effect over the container for gallery images that are yet to be discovered. Note: other observations not related to the previous game: ~The hint button when playing in Challenge Mode is in the way of the puzzle (right in the middle of the screen). It would be nice to have it somewhere else or have an option to move it out of the way. ~When quitting a puzzle in progress, the default behavior is to go back to the main menu. It would be nice to have another option to go back to puzzle selection instead, else I need to click back on Play each time to change image. ~I haven't seen any indication on the puzzle that are in progress. It would be nice to have some visual indicator for that. ~While being zoomed in, when dragging with right click, it can happen that your mouse is over a piece. If it happens (because you dragged fast), then the puzzle piece is selected and the moving of the canvas stops. You should not be able to accidentally pick up a piece with right mouse button while dragging the canvas. ~The text "Time limit. Medals. You collect one hint per puzzle completed." is a bit misleading. You don't actually collect more hint on a puzzle already solved even if you solve it in another difficulty. ~I find that some of the images are not rendered enough to be fun to play in higher number of puzzle pieces (like the Puzzle 7). ~There doesn't seems to have an achievement for the new 1000 puzzle piece. ~Option menu while on a puzzle should close menu option ~I'm wondering if the serie should be bundle into a single game or if it should be kept separated. I wonder if the dev will update all of the other title in the serie when he fixes bugs and add features on one of the title. Maybe it would work to have a single game and buy the different stories as DLCs? Just some brainstorming here. Negatives--- -There is a lot of points that I have mentioned in my review of the previous game of the series that has not been worked on and that are still present in this game. Some of the points would really increase the quality of life of the game and the overall experience. On the other side, the developper seems quite active so maybe he will attend those things later on. I'll update my review if he does. -I still think the hint button should be removed because it just makes it too easy. That's a personal opinion of course (like all points of my reviews). Conclusion This game is a nice jigsaw puzzle game featuring a wide range of difficulty (28, 112, 220, 500, 1000). Like the previous title, you have various options change the game mode, the shape of the pieces and more. The story has 20 pictures to solve/discover and there seems to be more puzzle after completing the main story (as of the time of this review,I have not yet unlocked those). Overall, it's a nice and well made game with a light story to it that keeps you puzzling. The only downside is the lack of corrections done between the previous game and this one. Also, I think that some of the images could benefit from more rendering, but I like the concept art from the artist. To the dev: Keep up the good work :) To you, the reader: keep on puzzling! ---------------------------- Edit v1.1 Bugs -I'm not sure if this was present in the previous version, but while on a puzzle, clicking mute and then unmute reset the music setting to 50%. My music was at about 20% and when unmuting I got startled that the music was so loud! Be sure that when you unmuted, you set back the previous user setting. Effect volume seems to work fine since the mute button is only for the music. -The selection of puzzle is sometimes bugged when exiting a puzzle and coming back to select another one. When I click on a puzzle, another puzzle is selected instead. I need to reset the game for the puzzle selection to work again or go to the "special" puzzle menu and go back to "play" for the "play" selection to work like it should. -Timer is reset to zero when I go back to a puzzle to continue it. It should continue from my last saved time from when exiting that puzzle. -Timer is visibly continuing counting while the black screen transition of exit is in progress. As soon as you click on exit, the timer should stop. Thoughs on the new features -I like the new settings for the grid, the image background and the solid background color! Enabling user to set their own RGB color is nice. Although, I think the interface could be improved by displaying the 255 value. Maybe even add an input so that user can enter the value directly instead of sliding. The current 0 to 1 value doesn't make much sense from a player perspective. RGB is known to be from 0 to 255 so I think it would be more comprehensible to display the value in that format. You could enhance this feature even further by adding hexadecimal input for the player to enter the color in hex. There is a lot of nice way to tweak and manage the color choices of the user ^^ -I like the new text displayed under the buttons.

Another quality jigsaw puzzle game from Cold Coffee Studios. Like their other jigsaw puzzle games this has a compelling story and lovely artwork making it a joy to play. This has even more puzzles than their previous game so you get even more for your money. The extra hidden puzzles is a nice bonus for the completionists too.

Though I'm only 3/4 through the 2nd story of this 5 series jigsaw set I can say it's impressive. I love that each game has it's own story to go with the puzzles. The soundtrack blew me away when it opened up with a cello playing, growing with each note into a beautiful, exciting musical score. I like be able to choose how many pieces I play with. I do 500 pieces most of the time. the different style of puzzles pieces are nice too. From traditional to the cross style, to square....adds to the game. If you love jigsaws I highly recommend this game. A game with a great story to go with it.

This is such a marvellous looking and soothing game!! I love the hand painted art, the fact that you can change the shape of the jigsaw puzzle pieces and change how many puzzle pieces are involved (28 pieces to 1000 pieces). The lovely music is phenomenal, and you can also read the story that accompanies the pictures. It's just so relaxing to play this game. You can play without a time limit to avoid stress, if you are a beginner. Or if you are an experienced jigsaw puzzle player, you can play with a time limit. The art is so gorgeous, and is really what makes this game a cut above the rest. Note: it is much easier to play this game and select puzzle pieces with a computer mouse, than by using your fingers on a computer touch screen. That way, you can put puzzle pieces in their places more easily.

Awesome Jigsaw Puzzle game with beautiful artworks (every puzzle was a pleasure to complete, and I love the nature theme), interesting story and great soundtrack! I also really like that everyone can decide for themselves how to play the game: you can choose what the background should look like, how many pieces you want (I found that for me, 220 pieces is the perfect amount - not too hard if you have no idea what the picture looks like and not too easy), what shape the pieces should have and if you want the picture and puzzle grid displayed or not. Big plus: All achievements are unlockable just by playing and completing the game, no extra grind needed. The Challenge Mode is a lot of fun, too. Don't wanna spoil too much, but especially the last puzzle was a hard nut to crack and took me quite a while. Though totally worth it :D

My Jigsaw Adventures - A Lost Story is the sequel to MJA - Roads of Life. However, they are separate stories and you can play them out of order. Took me around 15 hours to complete and get 100% achievements using a mouse (13ish hours on the bulk of it, extra time on the bonus puzzle). Difficulty is easy, with bigger puzzles and differently-shaped pieces if you want more challenge. - This game comes with 20 story puzzles, 15 special puzzles, and one super special puzzle. - There are two modes. One is Normal, and one is Challenge. Challenge sets a timer and you win crowns if you beat it under a specific time. - There are three shapes of puzzle in story mode: Regular, Square, and Arrow. And you can choose how many pieces each puzzle is in the main menu. Pretty sure every other review covered that. I just wanted to stay in the loop. Here's the real review: No one is allowed to thumbs down My Jigsaw Adventures. It's a rule. This is the only adventurous jigsaw series I know of that provides what you want and then some. The music's adventurous, the art is great, and it's fun to play as a whole. That said, the story in this game feels simpler than Roads of Life. Where the story in RoL is jumping sharks with dragons, swords, stumbling across the wildest unknowns, all in a quest to save the one you love (as stated in the very first scene, I'm not ruining it for you), and you're on the edge of your seat screaming, "What's going to happen Next?!", A Lost Story is more general scenery. I had trouble following the story to this one because some of it seemed detached from the art (What was up with the wolf?) and the plot felt sad as a whole. Sometimes the music felt off, too, swinging from chill to SUPER EXCITING AND I DON'T KNOW WHY! This was extra weird because the some of the art in the Special puzzles felt like it could've provided a much more adventurous story concoction. That's not to say the game is bad. The puzzles are still fun to do, and the art is still great. On top of that, A Lost Story adds in the special puzzles feature, offering a whole new set of enjoyment and spontaneity. I clearly had no issues 100%ing everything over here because of how fun and chill everything is. And you can dl the art after you beat the puzzles and get the soundtrack for super cheap, so that's cool. Puzzles! Woo! Got it for 5 bucks, too, so it's also entirely worth it.
