For a game that's not yet in alpha that you could still follow the development it's really promising, discovering the 3d model (that are in the game and those that are in progress)
The map is huge, their more yet to be incorporated so that game for it to be more that an exploration game.
It's a cool dragon game, it's one of the first that I feel like that's not aiming for kids or use dragons as a decoration or weapon but as real protagonists, and the world is for them too.

I personally love the game, but It can become boring once you have to just grind for growth

I'm not sure if this is my own issue but ever since today 2/11/2025 i have had problems with Draconia. before today the game has always played well but now it won't let me play when i press start and it show the loading screen but the it closes the game, it even closed out steam. i'd rather get help on here then make a fuss about it, can someone help me fix this issue? i really enjoy playing this game and i don't want Technical issues to get in the way, have a good day :)

While i think this game had a great idea. The animations are really stiff, even in signal player the frame rate is terrible, and the models appear to be market place assets. to be honest this feels like a $5 or $6 USD game not a $19.99. Even with it being in early access and for how long its been like this it just feels more like a ploy for money. it just feels like stomping lands all over again either redo this game and get better with animations or just take it down.

This game WOULD be fun if you could actually DO something other than stand around and talk. Play PATH OF TITANS, because in there at least there are dragon mods with the ability to actually gather materials, get hungry, fight other players AND talk.
It's been 5 years and the dev is wasting their time re-modeling dragons instead of focusing on being a PVP survival game WITH dragons.
At this point it's just an over glorified dragon creator than a game with survival MMO.....

I bought this game in like 2022 and after i spent hours for this game, after got bored and re-download and play the game and get bored and re-download over and over, i gotta say, i am very disappointed with how this game is progressing. It's been 3 years since the first time i play this game and it still stay the same, the gameplay is boring, there's nothing to do in the game, the server is basically dead because the most player i can ever found in a server is 8 players. The Devs only focuses on remodelling and giving new concept instead of actually making the game, i know some folks will say "ehm but this is just an early acces and they have a very small team, of course it gonna be long" Well then look at Path of Titans, they only have 10 people working on that game, and look how far have they gone? from a small, limited gameplay dinosaur game with nothing to in the game except for walking around and chatting in a limited map, now they have become one of the biggest name of the genre with multiple gamemodes, 2 maps, an interesting combat system, nesting, etc. meanwhile Draconia developed in the same time and after 4-5 years, it stay the same, the game still feel very boring and bare-bone, it have nothing to do except for flying around to find someone to chat with. So unless you want to make customize the dragons to create your dragon oc and then photoshoot, then i don't recommend this game at all, there are no survival, the pvp is okay-ish, i don't even know if pvp ever exist considering how dead the servers are, the leveling system is painful. The only good thing about this game is the customization.

Unfinished and unpolished, random crashes, but a cool idea. It sucks that there are so many dragon games on Steam and not even one can really do it right. Day of Dragons sucks cause Jao is greedy, Draconia really has potential but the development is slow and right now, it is not in a playable state in my opinion. These cash grabs need to stop, and can someone with some sense please develop a good dragon game lol

good, but i would say that the partacals might be overloading the game, wich makes crashes, and also make your fire bur things. But, a really good game i would recomend!

Game is heavily glorified in all media about it including youtube videos and the positive comments. At max there is maybe 6 or 7 people playing IN TOTAL. Not 6 or 7 in each server, 6 or 7 online at a time. There feels to be no goal to the game besides growing and then roleplaying. I couldn't even find the mission totems you are expected to find. The flight feels terrible, no weight to anything, flight animation just feels wrong, taking flight is AWFUL because you can just take off from the spot and not have to work to get into the air, and again, the only reason to play is roleplaying. No survival aspect because there is no punishment to starvation or dehydration and then the map is so large while there's maybe only 2 other players in the server allowing 65 PEOPLE, so then the most of the time you can't even find them. Any youtubers playing the game and have a large lobby is only due to requesting all the players to join them, so unless you are some memorable person, you'll be wandering the map for 50 minutes just looking for another person.

By all means, I don't HATE this game. While it is quite grindy and there's not many people online at any given time, I still do find it quite beautiful. The character creator is great (and is also getting an update soon, apparently), the people I've met on the game seem to be quite nice, building a base is fun, and exploring the map seems to be pretty nice. So why is this review a negative one?
As a wise person once said, ''Games like this are why I wish there was a neutral review option on steam.''
Read some of the other longer negative reviews if you want to find out just how bad the devs are sometimes, I'm not getting into that can of lindwyrms right now. The combat is bare-bones, levelling up is painstakingly hellish ESPECIALLY if you're playing a character that can't fly (or with low attack power), the only PVE aspects to the game is spamming RMB at slow moving enemies that constantly get stuck underwater unable to move (This wouldn't be as annoying if the underwater movement wasn't so annoying, even for characters with high underwater mobility like Eastern dragon or Lindwyrm), and as for the PVP? I guess it's fine, but definitely could use some improvement. I am aware that the game is in pre-alpha, but holy shit ive played games that are even earlier in development that are better than this. All of the really good parts of this game when compared to the looming negatives overall levels put my opinion of this game to just mid, if not less because of the devs (Hence why the review is negative). I do like to play it from time, but its not as crazy as the marketing makes it seem. The quests are boring, there are almost zero NPCs to talk to outside of the starting area, survival is piss easy, and it just feels... Empty, at times. It works well as a roleplay game, but almost every single aspect that they advertise as new and interesting just feels mundane.
It's not as bad as some other "animal" "survival" "games" I've played (looking at you, creatures of sonaria) despite being in pre-alpha, which i guess is good? I don't have much else to say other than it's not worth the price and it should be lowered until there's actually more content ingame.
TL;DR: Some really, really good aspects weighed down by a LOT of basically either required or almost unavoidable boring content and developers with their priorities all over the place. Very pretty, but also unfathomably grindy.
If you read this whole review, thank you, and also sorry if i sounded like a broken record during some parts.
