I don't get the hate. It's a super fun co-op with different heroes, each with a talent tree and their own abilities. On top of that you can level up your neighborhood rep. The combat is fun, the writing and style are unique. I had a good time. I say give it a shot, you have 2 hours to decide and you can always refund it.

Redfall – A Second Chance Worth Taking
I recently reinstalled Redfall after shelving it shortly after launch, and honestly? I’m impressed. This game had a rough start—no denying that. At release, it was plagued with performance issues, lackluster AI, and just felt unfinished. Like many, I dropped it with a sense of disappointment. But curiosity got the better of me, and after hearing about a string of updates, I gave it another shot.
I’m glad I did.
After diving back in, I spent around four hours exploring the vampire-infested world of Redfall, both solo and in online co-op with friends—and I can confidently say the experience is so much smoother now. The combat feels sharp and responsive, movement is fluid, and best of all, I didn’t encounter a single crash or noticeable bug. Lag? Gone. Enemies? Actually engaging. The improvements are real.
There’s a strange satisfaction in clearing out vampire nests or teaming up to take down cultist strongholds. The atmosphere is still there—creepy yet oddly beautiful in its own way—and with the technical issues ironed out, it finally feels immersive. The servers are also still very much alive, which was a pleasant surprise, especially when jumping into co-op with minimal matchmaking issues.
Do I wish this was the version of Redfall we got at launch? Absolutely. But sometimes games need time to become what they were meant to be. It’s clear the dev team has been working hard behind the scenes to get this title into fighting shape.
If you were burned at launch, I get it—but if you still have it in your library or you’re on the fence about trying it, now might be the time to give it a second look. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely playable—and more importantly, fun.

Despite all the hate I think this game kicks ass, and people should give this game a comeback. The Vampires where unlike anything i have ever seen in vampire history, I mean vampires with psychic powers and the way they were made in the lore? Twintree Clinic everybody. I would have loved to see the dlc actually finished like it ought to have, give the game a chance for a comeback people!

This Game had a rough start. But its now in away better state. I would definetly get this game ashot on sale. The Graphics are awasome and the Gunplay is very enjoyable. The Story is interesting too. The Characters can sometimes be abit cringe and theres a multiplayer bug, when getting past the first MAp where u have to do the first mission solo until multiplayer works again. But Overall Great Game!

I really like this game. I know it got a lot of hate, but the set & setting is very cool. Also runs smooth as glass for me; UE4 seems to consistently beat UE5 in that regard

This game on release was a clusterfuck, now Redfall is slightly better but still ultimately a clusterfuck.
It's a shame that due to Arkane Austin closing down, we'll never see what the "real vision behind Redfall" was,
if there was one.
I just gotta say, man damn - I love bows, and apparently they were gonna release a dude or a gal, idc with a bow next or something.
Really, you had to close the studio just before that? I suffered through 50+ hours of mediocre videogaming and don't even get to enjoy the bow?? helloooooo.
Oh well, life's not fair.
Oh yeah the game, the game sucks.
