Unforgotten was a very enjoyable choose-your-own-adventure game. I enjoyed the plethora of choices I could make and how they wove together to create the outcome. The atmosphere was great, I liked both the character visual designs and loved the music and background sound effects. There were however a few rough interfaces to look at that felt unfinished and at least in English, there were a fair number of typos (though the intention was still clear). I recommend Unforgotten to players looking for a quicker choose-your-own-adventure game with lots of choices and a good atmosphere.

I recommend this game for the music and artwork.
I really wanted to like the game itself; it seemed very interesting and the kind of game I would really enjoy. Maybe 1/4 through the game, the story referred to people, events, and objects that I had never come into contact with. Surely, from a different path. That made it confusing...and probably since I missed so many of these parts, the "intense" parts of the story I didn't feel invested in at all. I'm just thinking...why are we doing this again?

It's an okay game that mixes visual novel with choose-your-own adventure.
It's mostly an interactive story. the story is okay, takes about one hour to play through one version and there are different outcomes depending on your choices. There is a real effort on writing, atmosphere, and quality of narration but at the same time the story is banal and predictable.
I recomend it but only if you're not allergic to visual novels, and no more than a couple dollars

Well...short game with nice art. I still don't know how to get the "neutrality" save point, but except that i got all of save points and endings. The achievement will pop up after you close the game.

Great game. Short, but definitely worth it. I love that there are multiple chapter points you can choose so you don't have to play through the whole story again in order to get to the different endings. There are some minor translation errors, but nothing too bothersome. It's very compelling. I would love to see more detail about the folklore involved. I felt like a lot of legends were referenced but not much was really explained, like it could all be chalked up to one cultish village and their weird traditions. If these references have a more historic root in Slavic tradition, as a slav by ancestry myself, I'd love to hear it. 7/10

What a cool game! So as much as I hate comparing games because that's really not totally fair. If I were to boil this down, it's like Reign, but with a way more compelling story.
Pros:
The art style is great! I'm glad it's tagged as a visual novel, because that's essentially what you're getting. However, let me preface this by saying I don't like a lot of visual novels. This one is a bit more compelling than most.
Gameplay is very much a swipe right or left mechanic to make your choices. Something I totally have zero experience on through dating apps. What? I don't! Okay but the "gameplay" is simple enough. Sometimes your choices are timed and I did feel like I had just barely enough time to read the prompt before I had to make a split second decision, but whatever. It's still good.
Sound - The ambient sound and music is pretty solid! Nothing phenomenal, but it's enough to add plenty of atmosphere.
Story - The main part of a visual novel. The story is really compelling. I get bored easily. It's a wonder I write so many reviews, mostly in hopes that it'll help you make an informed decision on purchasing a game. This story is really cool! Sure it basically steals the beginning from the movie Big, but oh well. It adds to the aesthetic of the game and I was often navigating the story unsure of who to trust and how to handle situations. When I was done, the first thing I wanted to do was play again to see different outcomes. I can't help but feel there's wildly different story components that I missed.
Cons -
The length maybe? I dunno it's about an hour and a half, but it's definitely designed for multiple playthroughs. I'll be playing through again for sure.
Sometimes I'll get caught up on double tapping an arrow key to progress the story and often I accidentally double tapped when there was a choice to be made. I wish there was a separate button to advance non choices or maybe a different border card to give you a heads up when you zone out like me. I often just missed dialogue. Maybe it's to simulate my real life tendency to space off mid-conversation lol.
