I would like to start by saying that the game is clearly not ready..I gave it a try three times before writing this review just to make sure...but I must be clearly doing something wrong because I keep falling through the map. However, that should not be on my end to have to figure out what is going on, that's the dev! Colors, graphics, atmosphere are all done very well. The story is interesting enough but again, there are way too many flaws like going through objects, boxes disappearing, etc. Really awesome effort and I wanted to give this a thumbs up, but as you can see in the youtube video I will share with you and everybody else my raw experience. (Side note: UI gets bugged and you may need to restart as well, I had to three times before I even got the game going, just checking out settings and getting stuck.)

For the most part I enjoyed this game. Its pretty short and straightforward, the puzzles are not too difficult and the lighting is fantastic. As a horror game, aside from the one jumpscare it feels creepy sometimes but I didn't find it too scary most other times. The original dialogue is in French so the English translation is a little off at times which makes it slightly difficult to follow the plot. But as an indie game, its not bad.
You can check out my playthrough if you want to get a firsthand idea of what to expect!

From a visual standpoint the game doesn't look too bad. But it runs like shit, enemies can hit you with insta-kill melee attacks even if you are meters away from them.
Whenever someone speaks you are made to stand still and you can't skip it. Not to mention that the translation is bad and while I don't speak french I can tell that the actors don't use even close to the amount of emotion in their speech that the subject matters demand.

DOUDY is not a game I'd recommend. It starts off with good graphics and a small adventure trying to find your dog which leads you into a haunted Catholic school. The gameplay is just trying to find 6 books so you defeat the witch and save the day. It's simple but there's plenty of issues such as clipping, jumping at one point were you break your neck and your head and vision are now about the level of your crouch, and poor AI for the witch. The witch you avoid by going into lockers which she can easily see you but do nothing to you. Sometimes she won't even bother to chase you. The witch and AI can even be fooled by keeping locker doors open and she walks into them getting stuck so you can go about your merry way and proceed to get the books. The translation also needs polish in places as well. The best lost in translation is the actual name of the dog - Doudy. In English you would think this pronounced "dow-dy" but the voice over in French is "doo-ty" so, yes, your dogs name is feces! +1 for comical relief! It is overall a game that is a first time attempt for a new dev. The game can be completed in an hour. I got it for 3 bucks and will not be asking for a refund because I got a complete experience for a fair price and it will help the dev hopefully make a better product in the future.

It's not great.
Saying it's "rough round the edges" is a bit of an understatement. For starters the game has far too much dialogue in which you are immobilised for the duration and have to sit through it, which is an instant pace killer. And this dialogue just isn't very good. The English translation is atrocious, and downright confusing and misleading half the time.
The rest of the gameplay involves hiding in cupboards to let a monster go by on his very scripted route, then exploring the rest of the building you're in. As you explore you find keys to unlock doors or using a lockpicks to get through others (your character decides which ones needs keys and which ones can be lockpicked for some reason), enabling you to collect 6 books to break a curse. And there's also a single door-code puzzle, the parts of which can be found in the environment. Nothing standout. Also I really don't know why they decided it was an important feature to have lockpicks be a collectible in this, as I only broke one and ended up finding like probably 30 or so. Complete waste of time implementing that.
But the biggest crime is it just wasn't scary. There's a single cheap jumpscare, and the rest of the time the very unscary monster is on full display, and has such a short sight-range that he isn't really a threat as I never got caught. It was at least functional in that there were no game breaking bugs but that's just not enough to justify your time or money.
Avoid.

Not bad, not great. It is very short and the monster isn't very smart and easy to avoid.
Nice graphics.

DOUDY was an "Eh" horror game. The graphics were nice, but that's honestly I got. The witch was boring; not once did I get caught by her nor did she try and chase me. Kinda disappointing, because at first she seemed scary. The dialogue was pretty bland and really didn't add much to the game. The story was basic; your dog runs away, you gotta go find it in a creepy house owned by a witch while trying not to die, and then you gotta kill her and escape. There's really not much to it. Is it worth $5.99? Not to me. But, with all that being said, the Dev did put in some work, and for that I'll recommend the game. Keep up the hard work!

It was a little choppy and hard to get used to in the beginning. Eventually once I got the hang of it, i wasn't expecting for it to be so creepy and I was pleasantly surprised. It was worth the few bucks I paid for it!

Like the dev said, not a blockbuster but an entertaining 30-45min game. No real puzzles, mainly a walking simulator with a dark story. You do have to find things such as keys to progress and beat the game but it's nothing complicated and you're even given clues as to where you can find everything.
Not a bad game but I think it's priced a little too high.
