What a nostalgia trip this game is, I used to Play Neighbours From Hell 1 & 2 back during the 2000’s on my parents old Windows XP PC with my brother and school friends. Really reminds me of a much simpler time. I’m quite surprised though that this received a remaster as I wasn’t really sure what much could be changed, but either way here we are with a game that compiles the best of the original 2 games into 1 – Neighbours BACK From Hell One thing I’ll mention before I get into the good and the bad – I had no idea that the neighbour’s name was Mr Rottweiler, I honestly don’t remember there even being a story on the games when I played as a kid, so I was quite surprised to see the mini cutscene at the beginning and the end to see a small backstory. [h2] THE GOOD [/h2] So, first of all, this game is a simple and an easy time waster game. It’s just something you play to kill 30 minutes here and there; all you are doing is solving the puzzles of each level that involve you playing pranks on the neighbour. This game has taken the best levels from the original two games and combined it into one game, with the first 10-12 levels being from Neighbours From Hell 1 and then the following 10-12 levels coming from Neighbours From Hell 2 Just now I said that the game is easy because the game is certainly much easier now that it used to be on the originals, you now receive 3 lives which means you are allowed to be caught 3 times by the neighbour each level. On the original games I am very sure that you only received 1 life, making some of the levels quite difficult. Speaking of which, the difficulty certainly does ramp up as you make your way through the game. The first 10 levels are not too difficult, but I genuinely found some of the levels at the end tricky. You start to notice that as the game goes on, more and more pranks end up having to be linked together to get the desired result. It took some thinking from me to work out some of the levels. I think this is a nice touch to prevent the pranking from becoming too stale as although some pranks are the same between levels, others require some time to figure out. For the good, that’s pretty much it to be honest as at its core, this game is pretty basic [h2] THE BAD [/h2] So apart from the gameplay, Neighbours Back From Hell is a simple game. There is almost no story here at all, the graphics only look marginally better than they did back in the 2000’s on the original games, and the sounds are recycled between all the levels and become a little repetitive. In terms of bugs, my roughly 5-hour playthrough was pretty smooth but I did notice there was a strange high pitch whistling while I was playing the game especially on the first few levels, it wasn’t that noticeable for it to be a huge problem for me but it was there nonetheless Also, I mentioned earlier that the difficulty increases as the levels go on, well sometimes this is not entirely a good thing as there was one or two occasions when I could barely see the item I needed to select. One level needed me to grab a harpoon, but it was almost perfectly camouflaged against a stair railing. I’m not sure if this is a monitor problem for me, but it’s not ideal when I can’t even see the items I’m supposed to collect [h2] FINAL VERDICT [/h2] Like I said earlier, Neighbours Back From Hell is a basic puzzle game, with not much to it. But for me, it reminds me of a time from my childhood playing PC with friends and with my brother, so I can’t help but smile and enjoy myself while I play. it's game of my childhood and it's still so good and funny even after a while!!

100%ed it effortlessly. Grew up with this game, and playing it again was pure muscle memory, I still remember every trap and every rage moment from Mr. Rottweiler like the back of my hand. It’s short, silly, and a bit outdated, but still an absolute classic. If it’s part of your childhood, you’ll cruise through it. If not, welcome to the chaos.

4/5 Great funny game from the past. Includes all the levels from the whole series. Buy at least when on a discount.
