Just a really sub-par effort, plus it crashes. Mind you it is pretty, clearly decent art assets are easy to aquire, but that simply isn't enough to make this game even worth the eighty some odd cents I paid for this. Getting my money back. Why is it so hard to find a decent tower defense game.
It's okay, little harsch, challenging, VERY old school
And I thought that was it after I beaten all those waves, because it was harsch... Finding out that this was just level 1... :DInterface and the ability to understand it right away, I give it 6/10. Fun scale 7/10. Overall: 7 (not bad, not great, just right)

I played Defense High and it was 🔥🔥🔥! The top-view tower defense gameplay was so much fun and kept me engaged throughout the game. The variety of defensive towers and their unique abilities made strategizing how to protect the city really exciting. The option to mine the path of attack added an extra layer of depth to the gameplay. The graphics were also great and the sound effects added to the overall immersive experience. The concept of upgrading towers and collecting gold and coins from defeated enemies was a nice touch and kept me motivated to keep playing. Overall, I highly recommend Defense High to anyone who loves tower defense games. It was a great game and I had a lot of fun protecting my land and people. 🛡️🛡️🛡️

good old defense, the gameplay is still the same clear - you build structures for protection, but .. you need to be careful when building in order to build them correctly

Great game, I've never seen anything like it before. I was surprised by the mechanics of the game, everything is so well developed that it is impossible to take your eyes off. I advise everyone.

--Update 2--
2021-06-06
I finally took the time to finish the game. Achievements 3-8 don't trigger even if you flawlessly finish a level. What's up dev?
DO NOT BUY THIS unless you want a partially finished game.
--Update 1 --
5 Levels completed, achievements 3-5 not triggering, yet somehow there are players that have them? Verifying the integrity of game files doesn't seem to help. It seems like the game is abandoned by the developer...
Major issues:
- It seems like some towers with "abilities" do nothing? After testing them all it is unclear that the freeze and explosion ones do anything obvious. Maybe they buff towers around them?
- So far the game has ended as though I lost when I was finishing the last round, forcing me to redo level 5 despite being winning. It must have been a bug.
- There's a really fun core idea here if the developer just came back and continued working on it, but they seem to be missing/not communicating with the community.
- I have changed my review to NOT recommend this game to people. Despite being optimistic about game devs and understanding of what it must be like for them, this is clearly only partially finished. Only a little more work would make this game great. The developer coming and communicating with the community would also help a lot. Unfortunately, there isn't much on them out there on the web. If the dev comes back, weighs in, or fixes the game, I'll happily recommend Defense high. However, until then, I do not recommend this game unless you don't care about partially polished games.
--Review--
Normally I wait to 100% a game before reviewing. However, I'm hoping that the developer sees this.
Defense high is actually a decently fun tower defense game. It's simple and has a very minimal interface. I've found that I have a certain strategy that I lean towards and it works well for me but others might do differently.
When I first started playing I struggled quite a bit because there's no tutorial and you can get hit pretty hard early on. However, once you get the hang of it, it's fun. If you figure out a winning strategy, it's super satisfying to just sit back and watch the destruction.
My Main Complaint:
The Achievement for completing Level 3 does not seem to trigger.
I am going to continue on and see if the later ones do. However, this is a huge disappointment because I was hoping to 100% this.
Another user mentioned this issue in 2020 and it does not seem like the developer has fixed it. I hope that it's not abandoned :(
I will update this when I finish the game.

Easily the worst tower defence I have ever played
So I played the first 3 levels and every single one of them I won by just using tower number 4 the sniper tower. And I couldn't be bothered to waste my time playing the other 5 levels but I am 100% sure you can beat the game just by spamming that one tower. And it's not even close, I would have 10,000 gold and probably a hundred towers and just watch the enemies die. There is a wasp thing that blows up towers which might be frustrating in a more balanced game but I could literally just build infinite towers.
The main reason I didn't beat the rest of the levels is that omfg this is the slowest and most boring game I have ever played in any genre, and I say that with 0 hyperbole. Don't let the fact that there is only 8 levels fool you this is a long ass game. Firstly, you know that button that speeds up the wave that literally every tower defence game has? This game does not. And don't go thinking that the game goes faster than an average tower defence to make up for it, it doesn't. Level 1 took me 20 minutes. Not 20 minutes where I was actually playing, but 20 minutes of watching my sniper towers kill everything with 0 input. level 1 has 10 waves by the way, level 2 has 15, level 3 has 17. So I have no idea how long it would take to beat the game since that is not a recognisable number sequence but the levels don't get harder they just get longer. If anyone has beaten level 8 please let me know how long it took, I will leave comments on for that specific question. Oh and don't think when I say the game runs itself that you can just leave it or tab out (idk why you would but maybe you just want an easy 100% achievements or something) THERE IS NO AUTO-START. So even if the game is easy, slow, and plays itself you STILL have to be sitting there to press start on every new wave 10, 15, 17 times and so on.
Minor complaint in comparison but you have to change the settings every time you launch the game so if you wanna mute the terrible stock music and listen to your own or a podcast or something you gotta do that every time. You also have to pick between english and russian every time and I feel like that is a red flag.
I honestly would no be surprised if it turns out this was made with some kind of gamemaker program or something. 100% would not recommend for any reason even if you like tower defence games (like I do) oh yeah and the profile features are limited so even if you still wanna slog through it for an easy 100% achievements they will not show up on your profile or count for anything, just in case you needed even less reason to buy this.

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews.
I'm a tower defense fan but I couldn't play for more than a few minutes. I've had so few tower defense games where my immediate reaction is to uninstall it and request a refund. If it was marked as an early access game, it'd be fair enough and I'd wait for more polish, but it's not.
The user interface is so underdeveloped it makes playing this game a chore. It lacks basic functionality.
To be fair, it's a recent release so I plan to keep it and give the developer the chance to put more work into it and turn it into a good game. I'll change this review in the future if the game improves.
6 months later: It's still bad. It's safe to assume the developer has abandoned this turd.
