Bad. Straight Bad.
This game is truly a barebone project, and really I was ashamed at how so much potential wasn't yet in-game. The game is really weird, and you soon will know why.
Settings.
When you start the tutorial, you are immediattly met with this game's autroccious settings feature. First - when you press "ESC" - you can see the Settings menu, but guess what, the settings THERE are only GRAPHIC settings. Oh,and not even like "Scaling" and "Resolution" - but just OVERALL GRAPHIC settings. Ok,you want to change the controls? Press F1....Wow,there is still NO slider on the mouse sensitivity nor INGAME VOLUME. "Jesus, alrighty then,uh..." - I said those words cause there is absolutely no way to control the volume ingame.
Gunplay and Tutorial.
Well, thinking that it's just a starting project,I didn't set my expectations high for either of those....But damn,I was shocked. EVERY SINGLE GUN IN THE SAME CATEGORY OF THEIR AMMUNITION (Bullets,Plasma,Energy, etc.) USES THE EXACT SAME SOUNDS. - You see this Monster of a gun,so big that it takes about quarter of your screen, and you fire it... AND IT MAKES THE SAME SOUNDEFFECT,AS THE GODDAMN PISTOL,WHICH IS LIKE 20 TIMES SMALLER THAN THIS THING. "Ok,what about a tutorial?" - You might ask - Well,in language of memes - In terms of [strike]time[/strike] tutorials we have no [strike]time[/strike] tutorials. - Or so I would like to imagine. For starters, when you are told to EQUIP your loadout, (which you by the way, choose freely) - You are told to go through a simulation. I had died 6 times before killing one of them. - And I would like to point out that I have overall 2,5k hours in CS series, and about 50 hours in Quake and Doom. It's simply impossible.
RTS.
I didn't get to that part. The controls are just too bad to do anything properly,I was just stuck with 1 engineer I somehow got and got assaulted by like,30 enemies at once.
TLDR
- Wait until the game will be in full release, and fully patched before playing. 2/10

Great game. It is actually a combination of RTS and FPS. Not just a simple shooter with some strategy elements. Especially Assault feels like an RTS. The defense mode is a bit more like a tower defense game. It is a pretty though game as you are only as strong as every other unit. Also units are very good at aiming so you will die quickly if you are not careful. Even though the game has only pve currently it is incredibly deep already. It has some rough edges as it's still in early access but the foundation is great already. Can highly recommend it! Need PvP though :)

Has a long way to go with this game Has trouble running smoothly on the lowest graphical setting, bearing in mind I can run Arma 3 on 50 fps with this computer Requested refund as I got sick of the crashes. stuttering and various other problems it has. The devs need to put in a lot of work otherwise this game will live up to its name

the game feels like a passion project by somneone who had a very original idea, the game is not finished but it feels very cool, difficulty for the single player skirmishes is very hard even on easy. If you know a person who is interested in ArmA III, C&C, any rts or squad game needs to be recommended to them

You know what, its about time somebody gets it AN ACTUAL RTS/FPS that Gives you options on how you pick to fight your battles i havent played to long but you know what HA if i can spawn in a dozen troops and go ****s to the walls rushing yea thats an heck of a time right there, Im not even talking just that you can command individual units and bunch them together to defend or attack , sure its early access but it feels like some things could be improved ie first thing i noticed while running around like an idiot is the AI both enemy and ally pathfinding could use a tweak. during a few engagements i seen ai firing at walls like they are still locked on to an enemy but thats not much an issue. And for an early access game like dang its polished the first thing i tend to do is see if i can BREAK the game and not to much breaking from me so far some small things with a certain armors ...hehe right cant forget theres alot of content regarding guns and armor WITH customization and NOT EAs trashy customization options theres no microtransactions which means you gotta earn what you want which is a great athestic which ive missed, by what i mean is theres no Free rides here except for customization. LETS not forget the BASE BUILDING its not half bad i find myself actually enjoying building a base its not super repetitive. ALL together i think the games awesome so far and look forward to see where it goes. If your looking for a RTS and dont know what to play and your feeling in the mood for some FPS action this is a good game to run with. HEAVY INFANTRY RUSH FTW!!

TLDR: A really unique combination of a FPS and RTS. The game currently offers two different game modes: A horde mode ("Wave Defense") and a skirmish mode ("Assault") on several maps (Single player or co-op online up to 4, PvE only). As well as a training course with a shooting range to try all the different weapons out which can be unlocked for the main game modes by playing them. Overall the game feels quite polished in comparison to what I have witnessed with other early access game on release. It is nicely playable and offers definitely enough fun hours to be worth the reasonable price it's asking. I can especially recommend the Assault mode in Co-Op :) As a fan of challenging PvE coop shooters and the occasional RTS game, this is a very interesting mix of those genres. One can only succeed if handling both parts properly, going all in like Rambo will end in a quick death and loss of map control while just sitting back behind the troops leads also mostly to running out of resources and then failure. RTS part: One always start by being dropped on the chosen location on the battlefield, then the first job is to establish a base and call in the first troops/establish base defenses. While at the first glance it seems just simply very straight forward without much room for strategery, it becomes quickly apperent that placement of structures/defense structures, expanding strategy and troop control really has huge impact on how the battle goes. Keeping a steady income and expanding is key, like in RTS games, so one can tech up and build a better army. Utilizing choke points and buildings is also very important, sometimes one can loose all troops within seconds just because of being ambushed by the opponent from the high ground or from inside buildings, one has to carefully observe enemy movement on the minimap position the troops accordingly. It also makes a big impact by which commands are being used to control the troops. As an example one can micromanage the exact location of each soldiers with the "move and hold" command, then each soldier will stand at that spot no matter what. Or one uses the command "guard area", then the soldiers will take cover or oven be offensive within an area around that point. There are also different damage types and thus also different armor types. The player can plan ahead and change the weapons of it's own troops and can call them in accordingly, so the army composition is quite flexible. Like for example there are early game troops called "Shield Bearer" which have some sort of futurstic forcefield-shield in front of them and only certain weapon are good against those shields. So one has to react to that and have ideally something against those shields in the mix of own troops or the personal weapon loadout to be more effective. There are also two types of Walkers int his games which can make up the late game. They come also with different weapons and when faced against, have to be countered effectively with anti armor weapons/troops. So while it is a quick paced shooter, there quite some strategic decisions to be made with a strong impact on the outcome. I have not explored all of it but looking forward to it :) FPS part: While handling structures, map control and troop control is important, the army will still be grinded slowly to death without the player putting his abilities to good use. The player itself has only as much health as the other troops but the advantage of having specialized armor with abilitties, (like shield, dashing, mini-jetpack, thermal scanner etc.) and being able to choose a wide variety of stronger weapons. So throughout the complete match, one can and has to turn battles with consistent damage output and skilled headshots. One can also choose two primary weapons, for example areal damage versus light armored or energy weapons against shielded enemies to complement the army composition. The weapons to choose from are surprisingly vast, especially the Dual-Mode weapons have really neat animations and sound designs as well as a lot of different utilization. Like there is one weapon that shoots a continuous laser beam and has no recoil and all while standing still (strong recoil on the move), so one can choose more sneaky spots or from behind cover to shoot very precisly (but at the risk of taking high damage due to being stationary). Or another weapon that can turn from an assault rifle into a timed mine thrower or even a mini-rocket launcher. I haven't explored all yet but it is quite fun to try them out on the shooting range and then choose which to unlock as next. Wave Defense Mode: The player gets to choose to defend a spot (a generator) against chosen amount of waves of enemies. A horde mode where it is essential to choose a good spot on the map and have a plan where and how to expand. It is played on the same maps as in the Assault Mode but because the enemy does not have a and can drop basically anywhere one has to plan differently, being much more defensive and careful with the available resources. Assault Mode: This is resembles much more the set up of a Skirmish game from RTS games. Both the player(s) and the enemy AI start with base resources and troops on each side of the map. Especially this mode is a ton of fun to play in Co-Op, as each player can take a certain role and for example try to sneak around the map and take out enemies income while another is expanding and another is holding the frontline of defense and so on. The main goal is to take out enemies generator, but achieving that involves quite some skill in both, handling troops and being (at least somewhat) good as at shooting, the game rewards and punishes both. Of course as it is an Early Access game there are also some things that I would like to be improved on, like the control options (especially for the mouse) and also some more tool tips about the game mechanics as well as certain parts of the UI (Having maybe an always onscreen corner-minimap and more different symbols and faster minimap response to dead enemies, eventually crosshair size adjustment). More battle-tunes. And maybe also some different difficulty modes, as the currently available one is pretty much hardcore :D It feels really satisfying when achieving victory but I can imagine that until reaching that point, there is a lot of frustration to be had, I can imagine that it would be insanely hard to have succesfull games in a random public hosted game. But the developers seem to be very engaged and open to suggestions and most importantly they can also play their own game and play quite well (unlike from some bigger shooter developer that handle it like passionless work project and care mostly about the Dosh and aesthetics, gameplay second, if even). So I have strong faith that it wont turn into a soulless cash grab ones it hits the the release and the crowds :) (Edit: Also PvP, I don't particulary know about how balanced this game would be in PvP but at least one for fun, it would be a great addition! ) The core principle of the game is great and what I really like about it (aside from being a FPS-RTS combo) is that the flow of the game essentially never stalls, there are always some heads to pop or troops to order around and structures to build. The game is great fun and has great potential to bring that unique underrated genre into the right light. :)

The game is unplayable, the AI is too strong and fast so you won't have time to use all the mechanics of the game to see if they work well. You will only be able to spawn some soldiers until you run out of resources. This is a very bad game but it looks good.

I've been playing this game for a few hours. It definitely has potential. Here are the good points: -A lot of weapons, and most of them have their own utility. Way of playing however you want. -A large variety of troops. You have standard soldiers, heavy robots, then Mechs, Tanks, drones, and finally Walkers. This makes for a diverse army that you can use. -Maps are really large. You will have a lot to explore! -The tutorial perfectly explains how the game works. Following it helped me a lot. With how few RTS/FPS games exist, it's nice to see another one that focuses on mostly solo players, and at the time I'm writing this, a campaign seems to be in the making. There are a few issues, though: -It's hard. I usually am not complaining about difficulties in game, but it's really impossible to survive 10 waves (the minimum) in the waves game mode. You're supposed to eventually build other buildings out of your first base to start mining more. However; you only have 150 seconds before the first wave to build everything you might need early on, and then only 30 seconds between waves. You also don't get ressources fast enough to catch up with enemy troops. At the fifth wave, I only had two mechs and around ten riflemen, and maybe two/three turrets. Meanwhile the enemies had three or four mechs, and a giant army supporting them from all sides. It's clearly too difficult and will scare most players. -The AI in this game is unfair. Your troops, if you don't give them the right orders, somehow turn incompentent and will completely ignore the enemy. Sure, it's your duty to give them orders. However it's really difficult to give the right orders at the right time under fire and with how little time you're given. Meanwhile the enemy AI can easily tear you apart from way too far. Not only are you at a disadvantage in terms of numbers, you're also given teammates who saw guns for the first time! Do I recommend it? Well... It's definitely a game that needs to be checked on often, it's good looking and the principle is fun. However it's tough at the moment, you'll easily get stomped in the waves gamemode. If you want to have a better experiment, try the Assault gamemode which gives you more freedom. But it'll still be hard! So, if you like the RTS/FPS genre, give it a try. But get ready to get slapped by loads of enemies!

I personally love this game and it has a huge amount of potential like the game this reminds me of which is C&C Renegade but it needs more balancing and bug fixes like on both assault and the wave modes ill be completely destroyed because the enemy AI are, I feel like more deadly than yours and for being a commander of a army and being able to have different game play advantages over the AI. You are still pretty much insta killable and when I had to protect a generator the enemy bots went out of their way to destroy all of my resource outpost even though they aren't even anywhere close to the objective and on top of that the buildings are extremely weak unless its a enemy generator. Other than that and adding in newer things like tanks or jeeps its amazing and its fun to play.
