A short game with a rather motivating narrator who fuels your anger and salt to get better. A lot of the jumps in this game are precise and fast! The neat thing about the remastered VS the original, you can play as npc's you have encounterd along the way, you can even be a octopus! I would highly suggest this game to anyone looking to kill a couple hours but dont mind getting mocked a bit

Unfortunately, refund. I guess game is fun, but I purchased it to play with a friend and both of us can't see any online lobby or connect to eachother by entering the room name or by steam invites. Haven't found any info about it on the internet or steam guides, unless the guys who faced the same problem. As soon as it will be fixed - we'll buy it again.

It's a rage game. This fact alone means I would've never bought it if it was stated on the store page clearly enough. Also, it's an uninspired, uninventive platformer with lazy simple graphics and cringe-worthy narrator that repeats the same crap over and over again. I would've refunded if I could.

this game is a blast, playable with a variety of controls and as a linux user this game was painless to run. Looking forward to more levels after dying and dying, but learning. Apples are crazy...

Infuriatingly difficult by design. Snide remarks from the narrator (who is a D***, by the way) only make it all the more irritating when you die. A wonderful game for randomly handing the controller to unsuspecting friends and watching them lose their mind. Graphics are clear and controls work well enough, but I suspect the jump button registers doubles sometimes just to mess with you.

e z . OK seriously, it is hard, and mostly up to trial and error to locate most of the death triggers, but it's actually surprisingly fair, what with limitless lives and descent checkpoints, you can work your way through it if you truly want to. It isn't the same exercise in hair pulling frustration as old school NES era games, and the snarky narrator rounds it all out perfectly.

Generally a cheap game, but I'd say it's worth it for the... single dollar that I paid to get this game. WARNING - if you have anger issues this game can get on your nerves REALLY easily. Generally stay away if you're not up for the challenge. Short n sweet game, has a cool ending, will make you ragequit AT LEAST 7 times, and has an actual sense of humor in contrast to other rage games.

Boring and repetitive. Made for streamers with childish audiences. If you expect a funny narrator like in Stanley Parable, you are at the wrong address. No story background with the narrator either like in Portal. The jokes are uninspired, the deaths cheap and the sounds annoying. I wouldn't play this game even if I was paid - probably by people wanting to see me suffer.

Aaaaah my first true Steam review in ages. And one for a remaster of a game I already reviewed 4 years ago! Nuts! As I wrote in the review I made of the first version of the game, I may be a fair bit biased due to me being THE ACTUAL NARRATOR IN THE GAME who is a dick within this catacomb of video game hell. But regardless, this was a game that needed a TON of work, and pretty much all of the stuff that needed tweaking has been tweaked, and the game is just as fucking insane as it was back then and MORE. There's MORE content here in the main game, and it all works towards making the game even MORE of a living hell. Similarly to the original, I cannot physically finish this. The difficulty is mental, and the amount of wits the player requires is not enough for me to brave this. Basically, the game is fucking hard. So much so that I wondered if Adam DeLease messed up and made a certain section impossble. I found this was not the case but instead, a ridiculous amount of precision was needed for these tight platforming sections that make me physically clench. Hearing my own voice yell at me and repeat the same opening dialogue for each level was EFFECTIVELY annoying. To turn the narrator off would be missing the whole point of the experience of The Narrator is a Dick. Because I know how the recording sessions for this game went, I know how this whole operation ticks, but even then my memory is still a bit short, so hearing some genuine gems from time to time with the death taunts I came up with was really nice. It added a charm that I think works, and adds to the true annoyance that my own voice brings about in any sane player. This game certainly isn't for everyone and even has some moments that will feel a bit weird and jank but honestly that's what I love about it. This is everything that a video game shouldn't be, yet has such a fun atmosphere behind it that it doesn't matter so much to me. It's a fucking mess even at times, but seeing how much more refined this is in comparison to the original really shows how far Adam has come with video games. The extra features really help make this game finally whole, alongside the really cool multiplayer option and characters your can play as throughout. This isn't perfect. But my god this is a fun time in spite of its pute unbridled frustration. This is a game that is VERY good at what it does... pissing you off. Good one, Adam, keep it up man.
