Ah yes. A music/rythm game with no option to turn down the sound. Anyway, pretty fun.

The story feels rushed, the voice acting is terrible, the purple attacks interrupt the main gameplay, the dialogue is lackluster, Chopin doesn't even get a chance to have a personality, I didn't even really understand what was happening until almost the very end, the UI is unfortunate to say the least, and for $10, it is incredibly short. I would've rather bought DLC for the second game than this.

Sorry, but no. Previous games were funny, even when you have no musical education. This game has no easy and difficulty raised. First level on normal already not casual.

This is a fun music game. It's very LOUD with no volume control. Odd choice for a music game. It's also very short. You can beat normal in an hour. If you've mastered normal then you'll probably beat hard in another hour or so. The game encourages one hand for the keyboard and one for the mouse. Forget that. Set it up for two hands on the keyboard and you'll be a pro in no time.

i would love to recommend this game to people cause i love beat game and i love the first two games but sadly i cannot this one just doesnt seem to add anything special the first two had great and amazing music pieces and actually felt challenging (spent atleast 2-3 hours on the final boos of episode 2) but this one as you can see by my time played was a breeze and i just ran through it all like nothing and everything felt samey there was no distinction no life if you asked me did fred save the music in this one sadly the answer is no

They forgot to put a story in the game so the whole thing feels pointless and short. Not nearly as good as the first two but still worth it for the music alone.

TL;DR - It's the weakest of the three so far and feels like a rushed game. If you want it, get it on megasale. Compared to the previous two, yes it's very weak. But on it's own it's weak too. There's way less story elements, less character interaction, and the change in Chopin's voice actor was jarring and just not clean in execution. Really felt like it jolted us from song to song without much in between which was part of the fun quirkiness of the previous installments. The input system is *rough* in that it's very difficult to read exactly where some of the notes are. If this was my first Frederic game, I don't know if I'd have a fighting chance at reading it well. A lot of the music felt like it was lacking the flair and energy from previous games. There was more than one that was excessively repetitive and the difficulty is significantly lower now. I was bummed there was no "Chopin difficulty" after completing it on hard.

It seems that when you release a piano key and there is a note following shortly after very quickly in succession for that same key, that when you let go and try to hit the key again, the note sometimes fails or the piano key just goes down up down up... while holding the key this is noticeable. Another problem for me was that it was difficult to figure out where the notes needed to stop in order to count as a perfect note. The very small hitbox on the marking for that split second that the note is active is very difficult to nail.. So the 100% perfect notes on a level achievement is going to require a lot of luck even for a skilled player. I suppose someone with time on hand can write a macro to do it though, if they really wanted to. That's how the previous Frederic game with that achievement had to be completed. Only 8 levels at a $10 price tag and it took me 55 minutes to complete the game (Having watched all the scenes without skipping.. And on hard mode.. Of course I replayed on normal mode as well and was able to finish slightly quicker.. I will likely play more for the few achievements I missed but since that near impossible achievement (due to glitches), so maybe not? I did enjoy the classical music remixes and the art style as always with these games. It just left me wanting more content in the game.. Still worth playing for any fan of these type games.

The latest game from this famous series of music games. Frederic fights a devastating robot from the future to save the music. The game has kept its charm and great music from the previous episodes. Unfortunately, it is quite short for this price and I'd personally recommend getting it at some decent sales discount.
