Enjoying this game so far, some bugs and the game still needs work but the road-map shows what is coming next and being fixed. There's something romantic about the sight of a ship cutting through the water, its silhouette framed against a horizon where sky meets sea see in my videos. The creaking of wooden decks, the hum of engines, and the rhythmic crash of waves create an atmosphere of adventure and possibility. Overall, ships at sea is a very chill game and if the devs here what we the community have to say I am looking forward to full release.

it is a good boat game on the market right now! but i hope we will see more in the future: more ships more customizable interior and exterior ships more missions add survival in the game like need to drink, eat and sleep more clouthes

I have played all three of the "Fishing" games. This one has lots of potential but it does not reach it. 1. The game takes place in Norway, we already have a game for Norway. It should have taken place somewhere else in the world with fresh and new fish instead of the same Cod, Pollack, Red fish and Herring again. 2. SO MANY BUGS!!!! 3. Impossible to make money in early game. 4. Impossible to control the boats.

Honestly I hope this game will be really fun and relaxing in the future but I cannot recommend it right now. I liked the former games and I understand this is still in alpha but its personally not enjoyable. At first it is really enticing with the visuals and the few things you can do for now while on the open waters. But as a deep sea fisher myself some of the physics in this game are ridiculous and ruin a really nice time. The long line fishing can be a nightmare due to how close you have to be to the buoys on a specific side to pull them up. And even with the best upgrades it will be an unbelievably tough experience to line it up. The water is constantly on the verge of being as bad as a storm outside of the bays and I wouldn't mind if it cycled but it never does. And then the bugs, so many others have done a much better job going through the many different issues. Yes it is still alpha we understand but this is a pretty rough one at that. You may or may not lose long lines placed, baited fishing buckets on board, cargo on board and anything in your inventory. That means that the multiple hours you spend to slowly accumulate wealth to enjoy the other features may be extend by many more hours if not days due to bugs ruining your progress. Cargo hauls across the map can take 40-60 minutes and yield the biggest return in early game unless you take bank loans to fish. If you have to save and leave for whatever reason during that real time hour long haul there is a good chance the cargo will be gone on re load. I still have high hopes for this game but honestly I say wait till next year, take a look at their road map they have a long way to go and each update brings new stuff but causes a lot of problems as well. If you really just enjoy idea of this game and you can tolerate that than go for it on sale but be prepared for some frustration after getting a feel around the game.

Feels very bare bones currently. Lot's of polish still required. Gameplay, ship movement and third person camera feels awkard. I'll consider buying it again once it is in a more polished state with decent content.

Honestly, I downloaded this game after playing Fishing North Atlantic. Figured it would be similar and just as entertaining to pass time with a ship life game; I asked for a refund with less than 2 hours of gameplay. The fact that before I could do anything my ship was stuck against the docks and unable to do anything about it and was basically just stuck at the start of the game was such an annoyance that it completely ruined the game. Seems like even with updates and more since I tried it people are still having the same issues as day 1 drop. It's game breaking issues that just cause it to be a waist of time and they clearly haven't figured out how to adjust for the issue or fix them in any way since the game released while many are still having the same issues. Sometimes it says mostly negative reviews and sometimes mixed but if you read them it is clear that nothings actually being fixed and the concerns from the community are either being ignored or the dev team just doesn't know how to adjust for the issues that the game has. Adding more things to a broken game with game breaking bugs while refusing to fix the bugs just gives off Activision vibes. When you can't even start the game off cause your ship is stuck in docks and can't get away from the edge at all regardless of effort made this is a huge problem and clearly a well known issue as many people have mentioned it as an issue. It is 2 months away from a year into the early access game release and yet has many of the same issues as day 1 drop including game crashes for bug reports and more. When you can't even report the issues with the reporting system you'd think something in this time would be done to address the issues while holding back on releasing more things to the game. Like I said adding more to the game doesn't help when you have game breaking issue that are ignored. I get it is a small dev team but why continue to push out new things when you haven't fixed the prevalent issues that ruin the game and cause new players to refuse to even bother with the game. I hope one day this game turns out to be what would be expected and actually playable until then asking $30 for a game that you can't even start playing is well absurd for lack of nicer terms. I continue to follow the game and yet to me it seems nothing will be done to address community concerns at this time the beautiful graphics of the game will only take you so far. Until some of the main issues are actually addressed and fixed this game is a washout and I wouldn't be able to recommend it to anyone until they actually fix some of the issues. As someone who continues to play early access games all the time I have good patience for issues in early games; however to watch as nothing it done about the problems and more is added as if the problems don't exist puts a bad taste in the mouth and is the same reason COD lost hundreds of thousands of players and why so many are hating Activision today. When these main issues are actually addressed correctly and the game is made playable I might return to attempt a second try but at this point I'd rather not waist my time. If the Devs see this please just deal with some of the big problems and let the rest wait until the game is properly able to be played. I cant make any content on a game I can't play and I don't enjoy talking down a game that has so much potential. One day it might be ready to start playing until then just follow the progress and wait till it might actually be fixed enough to start.

The latest update 0.8 is false advertising, most of the trailer content is not in the game yet. Pros: Realistic feeling sailing & waves. Could be an incredible game if they add all the gameplay of previous series and turn it into an actual sailing/fishing/service game. Release modular updates and DLC for different industries, equipment, and regions, etc. Cons: This game was launched into EA way too early. Now a year later and it's not much more content. Probably needs another 1-2 years to be an actual game. Devs are moving pretty slowly. You can run cargo but everything else is bare bones. I don't know why, having already made 2-3 of these games before, this one was started basically from scratch. What were they doing in the years since the last one? Why does it seem like they've forgotten all the game systems and UI they've used in the previous games and have to reinvent everything again? It's so weird to see a game from the same developer but seems like it's a completely different team. Hopefully they stay in business long enough to complete it. Seems like the EA launch was to get a cash injection, and they're making their money from advertising partnerships with boat equipment manufacturers despite none of that stuff actually functioning in game (e.g. PingMe).
