Love it, as it's a fun game to play on the SteamDeck. It runs great for me, and will probably come back to it from time to time between other games.

The game feels too barebones and simple, which is a real shame, as it has a good base and visuals. There's just not enough here to sink your teeth into, unless you're fine with mindless turn-based combat. The whole gameplay doesn't feel well thought-out, as if the development was going well, but they just decided to stop halfway through. There's no real scaling as you're going through the map, which means you're basically on the same level you start with, and when fighting the boss. You do find upgrade nodes, but they don't feel substantial enough that you feel much stronger. Even if you argue that you do get stronger, the other cards you can get don't change your play style, so it just feels very repetitive. For a game going for an isekai fantasy plot, it really doesn't feel fantastical, and you just feel like a weakling. The game could have been more interesting if it had allowed you to do more. It just felt ripe for flashy moves, but all you can do are standard boring attacks. Or at least the game could have gone harder in a more defined direction rather than just a generic fantasy. The story is also just bad, especially if you're into anime and are familiar with the saturation of isekai. It just felt cringe that it was going for the same old trope you've seen a thousand times. It doesn't add anything to the game, and I just wanted to skip everything. If it had at least offered something special, I would have been more engaged. However, the writing just felt like it knows how generic it is. If you're looking for just another turn-based game, I could see how this would be serviceable. Otherwise, there are just a lot better options.

A very fun game! The classes have enough variety to keep them interesting, and the game has a gentle and rewarding learning curve.
