Do you like rhythm games? Buy this! Do you like Pistol Whip? Buy this! Kongfusion is kind of like a melee Pistol Whip. The game has you on rails and you battle alien ninjas to the tune of some really good beats. You have three weapons: fist, staff and a sword and shield. It isI so satisfying to punch or slice the ninjas!!!!!!!! It WILL give you a workout! Buy it. Buy a copy for a friend. Just a fantastic experience!

Love the game! Graphics are not that good but once I had gotten the staff weapon figured out I was hooked. If the devs could , please allow the option to make the right side blue and left side red...or add more color options!

Only took me 5 minutes to see that this game is half baked. Graphics are ok, voice work is serviceable, but the music is pretty generic, gameplay doesn't not feel good. Hits have no impact, backgrounds are bland, I'm getting this refunded. It honestly front like a Chinese VR cellphone game, could be better in the future but for now, avoid.

Preliminary review. (WMR) This game is excellent, with a few notes. - There are only 3 tracks. This makes it a hard sell when compared to Pistol Whip, which is markedly similar, but has loads more songs. - There are more difficulties, and overall feels more challenging than Pistol Whip, There are also three weapon types which adds variety. - Timing feels slightly off, hard to get to a steady 90fps, and no options that I could find. Apparently you can play custom songs somehow, and the developers intend to add more songs and gameplay in the future, but right now is slightly lacking in content.

UPDATE: bougt again and works flawlessly.. (not sure if update of nvidia drivers made the trick) If you want that specific workout then the game is for you, otherwise not sure.. ---------------------------------------------------------------- my Rift S and Quest link experience (Win10): tried on i7 1070 ti 8GB - flat shattering screen, laggy not possible to select from game menu + dialog window saying Out of video memory bla bla.. tried on i5 1660 ti 6GB - flat shattering screen, laggy not possible to select from game menu no problems with other 60+ games so I had to ask for refund..

I refunded this game the first time. It gives a bad first impression. Bad performance, feels like a tech demo. But If you're like me and you're desperate for new fitness games it's not bad. The staff gameplay is pretty fun when you get good and might even translate to real world skills. Hitting enemies is generally satisfying in a mindless kind of way. If you want something to pop in and set your brain to autopilot then this game is not bad.

I bought this specifically to play with a maul staff and once I got it set up, I had a TON of fun with it. Staff mode is where the game really shines and is unique, IMO, and it's tons of fun to play! Can't wait to see what's next for it!

At first I thought this was rubbish but the punching levels are up there with many of the best rhythm games, love a good old punch. This game would be so much better with different / better music, even better if you could use your own music like you can on Powerbeats or X-Fitness

Anyone who says this is a good rhythm game has simply not played any of the better options out there. I feel sorry for them that they would think this is any kind of ready to be enjoyed on par with other similar games. It was fun to try, but felt very unpolished up next to most of the other higher quality rhythm games out there right now, plain and simple. The way in which you unlock levels on a basis of easy to hard difficulty seems ridiculous and, again, repetitive. The haptics are essentially non-existent and it just feels hokey as soon as you get over enjoying the "fighting" premise. Bad-guy do same move again. It gets very repetitive. Yeah, sure you can work out with this- but you will get bored very quickly. I will play a little more to progress the levels and will update review if it changes my mind somehow. The market is very competitive right now, obviously; With that being said, if a game does not catch my attention in the first half hour of my playing it, I have very little interest in wasting any more time on it. It's easier to find something than to spend more time playing a game you can't even get into...

I purchased this game as soon as it was available in Steam, I had it on my Wishlist because I enjoy playing rhythm games. You will see red and blue and you will think, wait a second, this is familiar.. but actually it feels different from the beginning. Who doesn't like to punch, slice and hit Kung fu masters? flying to you, running, trowing things at you and you need to dodge these beams that move in circular ways. The game starts with a tutorial and you have 3 songs with different backgrounds. Easy, medium and difficult mode, you need to finish the easy one to move to the next ones. I want to keep an eye on this game and be engaged with the dev team in Discord because I see a lot of potential. I already played 2.5 hours and it will be in my workout rotation. I expect to see more songs and more difficult levels in the future and why not custom songs for us to map! i recommend this game because I believe it will get better and better with time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cF5MEXVvlag
