I bought all LiS games in a bundle because I thought they were entertaining. I like story-driven and choice-making games, but at least for now, LiS just doesn't click with me. The first one was salvageable because two reasons: the last couple of episodes balanced out the rest of the game, and the time-rewinding element. Here, we don't have neither redeeming quality, so its a no-go for me. All episodes are pretty boring from the start. I know the gist was to build up inside the world of the first game, but the progress in this game, not only is slow, but aimless. Everything happens from one moment to the other and without too much explanation. Chole's character is cool in the first one, but here it really needs Max to balance her out. Without that, she goes from cool to annoying in two steps. The fact that we alredy know the fate of the two main characters here, doesn't really helps neither. And on top on that, a dissapointing and anti-climatic ending seals the deal Same as the first one, the graphics and style is really outdated for today standards; and the gameplay, even tho that is similar to the first one, again; without the time-rewinding powers, becomes extremely boring. Also, same as in the first one, I got several bugs with audio and subtitles (audio not reproducing but seeing that the character was talking; or subtitles not appearing at all, audio AND subtitles overlapping eachother, etc). For a game as simple as LiS, it really bothers me that these kinda errors are present. I give it a 3 , and would never play it again

I came into LIS: Before the Storm thinking it would be a boring game to give context to the first Life is Strange game. I have already played the whole series but have yet to start this game and since I am replaying the series I gave it a chance. I am pleased to say this game far exceeded my expectations and is one that all Life is Strange fans must experience.

while i absolutely love this game, the remastered version isnt it. it looks great but is super buggy. random rainbow lights and light flares appear once or twice. not a super big deal. but the audio and captions are. the audio will cut out completely at times. desync from the characters mouths. but more typically cut out at the end of the characters lines (which happens almost every line no joke.) and the captions sometimes dont appear, are completely wrong, or stay on the screen way longer than they are supposed to. the game also starts in japanese which thankfully can be changed via the main menu before starting the episode which is odd to me. the game isnt unplayable so long as you have BOTH the captions and your hearing intact. if you're hard of hearing or completely deaf or just dislike captions, dont bother getting the remastered version. cause then you miss out on quite a bit. once these things are fixed i would gladly give it a 10/10 just like the original version.

Another great installment of the iconic Life Is Strange series. This time the game shows the events leading up to the first part of the game. If someone wants to play, I recommend going in chronological order. The game is awesome.

Many people have an issue with the voiceover being automatically set to Japanese instead of English, and it can't be changed during gameplay — only from the main menu. But honestly, I don’t see this as a problem. Even though this is a remaster, there are still some bugs here and there, but they felt minor to me. I was way more focused on the story. The second part deepened the plot and the characters so much — it made me love the game even more. Chloe became (and stayed!) my favorite character after I finished it. I cried, especially because now the first part makes complete sense. I won’t ever stop talking about how much I love this game and analyzing the characters — they’ve become so familiar and dear to me. And the soundtrack in both parts is amazing. It really adds to the atmosphere and emotion. This game lives in my heart now, and I’m honestly glad it does. (English is not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes!)

Life is strange: Before the storm is a perfect prequel, it sets up the original without spoiling too much for those wanting to play chronologically, and it fills lots of plot holes from the original for those coming back to it after playing LIS. The story is engaging and for only 3 episodes (4 if you count the flashback one) it manages to tell a fully satisfying story to set off the series. The only problems I have are with the bugs which the remaster introduces, line skipping, models not animated correctly and textures glitching were the most prominent issues however, they did not take away from the overall experience too much and I would still highly recommend to anyone thinking about trying the series. 8/10

one of the greatest DLCs for any game of all time hands down, i had it on ps4, but my current laptop isn't good enough to run this game, so i'm waiting till i upgrade to play it. 10/10 get this especially when it's on sale. edit: the game runs better when i'm not on discord calls screensharing (obviously), but i think this is why it was lagging so badly before. now that i'm off call it works fine, with a few stutters here and there. regardless, i'm glad i get to enjoy this game again, and i plan to replay it in it's entirety when i upgrade my pc in the future.

Playable. But there are a lot of bugs, so be aware. I personally didn't encounter any major bugs, just several minor ones. Half of the scenes look so much better in the remastered version but the other half is on the other hand.. Few moments in the remastered were barely touched as well, so those scenes may seem almost identical to the original version. Overall, a fine (unfortunately, not hella fine) experience.
