Lovely quick game. The voice acting is excellent and the soundtrack adds well to the ambiance. My only complaint is that I would have liked there to be more story, so I could get to know these characters more.

Once upon an Electric Dream feels like an exercise. Not only an exercise for the creators, but for the player to experience an simple narrative about choice. Do you chase the horizon or stay on solid ground? Story- a small story that is imbued with touches of life and world building, especially if you pursue all endings. Characters- Timeless tropes that are colored by the setting and the use of voice actors. Art- a story aid that is suggestive rather than immersive. Overall I enjoyed this story and feel the price of admission is fair, not only for the experience, but support smaller creators.

I got through both true endings, 1 good ending, and 2 bad endings in 84 minutes. There are two love interests. Zero was a sweet feeling and the second, Miel, had a good ending that made me feel a little uncomfortable. It just didn't seem to be a relationship based on honesty although it was mostly the MC's fault for being stubborn enough to just go after the guy a bit randomly without all the info. MC is definitely impulsive. the true ending of Miel's route was better, but also seemed a bit off regarding how much MC sacrificed only to abandon the cause at the last moment. The voice acting was good, though a few lines were a bit wonky but nothing immersion breaking. I actually liked Miel's VA best, even if I didn't like his route as much as Zero's. Good appropriate music and acceptable art.

Alright well... This is a rather short game, as I got to Zero's end pretty much from the first try. I did get some tidbits along the way to fill in what happened too. So then I tried to get to Miel and... All I got were bad ends... I'll just pretend I know what I was doing and there was a happy end in there somewhere.

Since this game only has two reviews, I feel inclined to stress just how short it is for anyone considering buying it. The story was very good, but I got every ending in less than an hour and half. The shortest ending takes under five minutes, and the longest one takes maybe 15-20. I did feel satisfied once I got them all because I learned a lot about the world and the characters, but even for $3, it felt like I didn't get a lot. The voice acting is phenomenal, and the artwork is pretty good too. I would love to play a remastered version of this game with a bigger budget. If you like romantic visual novels, you'll probably enjoy the story and its two potential love interests, but just be aware that you can do an entire story arc within a few minutes.

I enjoyed the game, the voice acting is pretty good for such a small game and the story flows well. There are a few typo's, but the writing is still well done, not something one can say about all short visual novels. It has all the functions of normal visual novels, saving, loading, skipping unread text so all in all well put together. The story in itself is heart-felt as described, and again the voice acting really brings Miel and Zero alive. There are no Steam achievements, but played through till I got all the CG's. I would recommend the game as a short and sweet visual novel, it is surprisingly well priced for what you get.
