If you love "in your face" horror, this is for you, though I'd highly recommend waiting for a discount.

The Tide is a VR adaptation of horror web comic with stylized visuals and creepy imagery. It's a bit pricey for about an hour of content, but it definitely worth it on sale, especially since there is nothing quite like it on Steam right now.
The Tide uses very straight forward approach to horror with a lot of jumpscares and monster close-ups. Yet it's not as scary as those horror experiences with more realistic visual style, but this can be a plus, since VR horrors can be terrifying to the point when most people(including me) just can't endure it for more than a few minutes.
Some scenes are fully animated and play like a movie, while others are only partially animated and indeed feel like a comic strip brought to life in VR. There are also few minor interactions that enhance immersion a bit more(although I've encountered a bug where my left controller appeared like right one in interactive scenes).

Way too pricey for less than an hour's content.
I enjoyed what there is, but it should be less than £5

So to start I will say it's not as interactive as it claims to be. Very few moments where you actually interact with the environment. However! The story and scenes are very engaging. It's a VR version of a web comic that I've never seen any game portray before. This game won't blow you away with graphics or gameplay, but if you're looking for a horror game that truly gets the blood pumping this will be a good one for you. It digs deep into the inate fear of the unknown, while still filling in what you want from a standard horror game. It's a short game but every second had me on edge and I'd love to see more games like this
