So, this game is amazing! I was a little confused at first on what to do at first. (Might want to look up guides, or hopefully there will be a tutorial soon.) But overall, this game is super fun. The base building is great, and the levels are just the right amount of challenging if you keep up with your upgrades on the workbenches. There are a few more things I would love to see in this game, but it's still in Early Access, so I am excited to see what comes next. All in all, this is already a super fun and addictive game. I can not wait for more!!!

Well you get to kill some zombies and build while trying not to starve from hunger or thrust. It would be nice to see this as a co-op even if that is with just one other person to join. It's fun to play but it would be nice if there were ways to split a stack of items.

It is a fun idea but the game basically has nothing to do with the train. The train is just there to get you from one stage to the next. You could build nothing on the train but a bed and the whole game is beatable.

OK you have a great concept BUT THAT IS IT MAN....your generation is uneven your graphics demand a huge amount of resources, on top of that the game seems VERY unbalanced and not even close to fun, its a freaking headache to be honest, 4 full zones in and the only weapon I have is a revolver, ok I can believe that but then you add water and hunger bar THAT YOU HIDE ON THE STAT SCREEN (NOT EVEN CLOSE TO KOOL MAN) And there is no tutorial to teach new players THAT THEY MIGHT NEED A BED AND HOW TO BUILD IT! And then there is GETTING TIRED IN THE MIDDLE OF COMBAT????? I mean that in holy heck dude? are you trying to be the worst survivor game on the planet? WHO GETS BLACKOUT TIRED IN THE MIDDLE OF COMBAT?!?!?!?!?!? Also the underground area in zone 5 what was the intention? The effect is a room full of zombies you cant see anything at all but all the zombies see you and death is likely the result for any player going into that area. In closing this NEEDS ALOT OF HELP AND ATTENTION keep at it you'll get a decent product sooner or later. you can contact me for suggestions if you'd like.

This game is a really good indie game. I was a little worried when reading any of the negative reviews but the positive reviews pulled me in plus it was on sale. Playing it for this long now I've realized almost all the negative reviews are either pure stupidity or laziness. Few examples are "no sleeping bar/didn't know you needed to sleep, no hunger bar, and no thirst bar." , not knowing the keys, and the zombies are boring. 1st, all food, sleep, and thirst percentages is in your inventory. Which leads into 2. If you don't know how to get to your inventory pause the game, open the controls, and look, and finally 3. Zombies don't always drop items but they will drop bags sometimes on top of the train having a whole book on different kinds of zombies. I feel like the only reason they are deemed boring is because of the cartoon art style they were given. I only have two wishes with this game and that's to add some kind of way to add more train cars and to make it multiplayer. Otherwise I'm 29 hours in and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I'm looking forward to future updates.

Only played for 48 minutes and had to google how to do things 4 times because the game doesn't tell you, Like how to sleep. A few basic tweaks like having a tutorial would make the game a lot better. Good idea though and it definitely has potential. Refunding it for now but might revisit in a year or 2.

Bought this game when browsing though my discover page. very interesting game and different play styles. This game rewards you for being thorough, and searching every nook and cranny for items. And certain maps are huge. The main starting area has an entirely missable Gas station and bridge with loot. The train and placed items look amazing. The zombies are a little cartoonish, but hey, this aint AAA. This game requires patience, or the ability to run really far. with a level system for health, stamina, strength, and stealth. And it has genuinely scared me at times with triggered events from looting a crate, or the placement of zombies in a tight space. I think its an overall great game and experience, that with just a tiny bit of TLC, could become a masterpiece. Edit: After 16 hours of playing the game (all available story completed as of current update) I've got a few things i want to mention. THIS GAME IS REALLY IN DEV. It has a solid base, and most if not all functions work as intended. but the game lacks the polish that regular bug fixes and end game development brings. I would say this game is 3/5 the way done. And gathering materials for the train is a slog. at the end of my run, when i reached an area i couldn't pass because of it not being in the game yet, i had barely built up my train. A single story cabin that held all my items. When i build in the train, i feel a constant unease over use of materials. Some items that are really useful are plentiful. all around the areas. but there are specific items (leather, Metal Scraps, motors, metal parts) that just don't seem to spawn as much as they should. and it lead to me hoarding as much as i could to prepare for making tools or weapons. My current gripes: Inventory handling, moving and interacting with items in the inventories of you and other items is a bit... slow. Splitting has to be done across 2 containers and cant be done on person. i find myself using shelves a lot, because the placing of items is actually pretty good. Hitboxes, There is a stealth mechanic, and it becomes pretty useful when you need to sneak around heavier tier zombies. and stealth weapons as well, like the scrap knife. but even with full stealth leveled, i find it hard to hit zombies in their weak point (brain) i have my cursor directly over their head... and i hit their shoulder, or back.. Most of the time it isn't an issue, but there are some really cramped areas that this becomes a problem. Travel. I started out min maxing my stamina and strength stats. even with a crap ton of stamina, Running around everywhere is very slow, with the very large map sizes. Might i suggest like a cargo bike that you can build and have a place to store it on the side of the train? similar to the barrel containers? Something that makes transportation of you or other materials faster. Robo Dog. Nothings wrong with him. His walking noise is kinda annoying after a while but other than that hes the perfect helper buddy. Currently doesn't take damage or need charge, but i think when its eventually added, either make the battery very large, or have ways to charge it outside of the train. being stuck in the area you cant leave until you finish making stuff (right before the tunnel) i brought the Robo doggy, and thinking about how i would probably have to leave him there if they added it, because i spent multiple in game days looting and running that area. OVERALL: great (in dev) game with great (in dev) features. I will patiently wait for new updates and edit accordingly. But if this happens upon you in a sale, i'd say buy it. Its a nice little experience for what it is currently. and when its finished, it will be a masterpiece. [SPOILERS] [SPOILERS] [SPOILERS] Third station you go to. Its a filler up gas station for your train. If you didnt know, there is a tank on the left side, middle of the Train engine. you will want to line it up with the pump there. There is a key you have to retrieve. its inside a house on a hill past all the cars in front of the building you arrive at. you use that key to open a red door in the train station. This will do 2 things that impede you. 1: the power can be toggled on and off. and once on, an alarm will sound, not turning off until the power is. 2: the train becomes innaccessable when the power is on. The station itself lowers a gate that prevents access to the train. You will have to be FAST. and/or have a bit of time to work with. My strategy for this is to have the pump ready, plugged in, and the pump turned on (not active, just ready to be) and once the power is on, every zombie in the vicinity will come to the station. IT IS A LARGE HORDE. Tens of regulars, and a few specials littered throughout. But there is a limit. after a while, they stop spawning. i recommend having grenades ready, or a couple melee weapons. ONCE YOU ARE DONE. keep the key. keep ALL keys you find. they are re-useable. every time you leave and come back through a map load, the station resets, and so does the lock on the electrical room door. this will save you a trip. you can repeat until the train tank is full.

I really wanted to like this game, the premise sounds really fun, but the developer(s) just managed to do everything in the most boring and/or infuriating way possible. - The train, the thing that the entire game is based around, only serves as a base and a way to travel to the next loading screen. managing fuel doesn't matter because the game is so linear that opportunities to gas up present themselves exactly when you need it. Zombies do no damage to the train and you can easily just pick them off while on the train because zombies can't enter it. This also means improving the durability of your base is just a waste of resources. - The looting is terrible, every container in the game seems to be predetermined loot. Guns and armor can't be found randomly. Everything is so heavy that most of the game is spent walking back to the train to dump off loot. All the levels I played consist of looting containers for the same 10 items (metal/cloth/wood/etc) until you get to the end of the level where you can loot a single pistol. - Zombies are very out of place visually and difficulty varies wildly. They also very rarely drop loot (I would estimate 1 in 30) and it's always junk. Fighting them is just a chore. - The combat is absolutely terrible in my opinion. melee weapons feel bulky and slow even when using the fastest ones. If you sprint, you can't attack, reload, or do anything really. With most games if you sprint and hit the attack button, the game cancels your sprinting but still allow you to attack. In this game when you sprint attacking just does nothing which is infuriating in an intense fight. Ranged weapons are useless, They're slow, do hardly any damage, they use stamina for some reason, and reloading is incredibly slow. - Stamina is hell. Running uses a lot of stamina, which is awful because the walk speed is so slow your guaranteed to die in most non-standard zombie fights unless you sprint. attacking uses a lot of stamina. Dodging uses a lot of stamina. Shooting uses stamina. Most zombie fights go like this: As you run around the map you encounter a zombie -> stop and recover stamina from running -> Stab zombie (-25% stamina) - > Dodge backwards to avoid swipe (-25% stamina) -> Backpedal to wait for stamina to recover -> repeat for 2 more stabs. This example is for the basic zombie, it only gets worse when fighting more difficult variants or several zombies at once. 40% of this game is just waiting for stamina to refill. But don't worry, jumping doesn't take stamina, because there is no jumping in this game for some reason. - Perk points are almost pointless. You can put points in Health, Stamina, Strength, and Stealth. Health is pretty decent, no complaints. Investing points in stamina isn't great because you use stamina in this game so quickly that a measly +5 stamina points just doesn't put a dent in the problem. I put points in strength and there was no noticeable difference in damage dealt. Stealth is just stupid, I never even invested in stealth because the game is not designed for it. at the end of every level I played there was some sort of mechanic where a loud sound would pull every zombie in the area to you at once, so if you were to stealth through the level you would be swarmed and killed by all the zombies you didn't kill. In addition to that, stealth also plays no part in combat, there is no damage bonus for stealth attacks. Not only that but if you sneak attack an enemy the second you press the attack button they immediately turn around and attack before you even swing. - The controls are a little janky, I had to look through steam walkthroughs to figure out how to split a stack and open the equipment panel because they don't tell you how to do anything. By the way, they forgot to add the basic functionality of DROPPING ITEMS, in a game about gathering ITEMS! I really hope this game gets better in the future but I doubt it will ever be much better than it's current state if the developers don't completely scrap the whole linear nature of the game. Just because the train is on rails doesn't mean every facet of the game has to be on rails.

Great concept, mediocre execution. FIRST. The train is great. Building your base on the train, upgrading the walls with racks and armor, having a mobile base that solves the issues of backtracking in most survival games, all of that works. Its the most important aspect of this game, and its decent. It was what motivated me to push through and play more of this game, despite everything else about this game screaming at me to just quit. Now, let's move on to the parts that don't work. 1. QOL, or lack thereof. You cannot drop items, so you have to find a box and do a transactional swap just to remove items. Movement is slow and clunky, which is fine if it was intentional as a realistic game, but the maps are severely bloated. 2. Speaking of maps. Most of the game revolves around stopping your train at Points of Interests which are designed as mostly linear dungeons. This is fine, but the problem is that the POIs are all extremely bland in design. There are towns, sewers (yes everyone loves sewers in zombie games right), farms, you name it. The sewers is really just copy pasted dark corridors repeated ad infinitum, and the towns are often interspersed by roads and forests where you do nothing but just hold W and walk forever. The farm itself is quite possibly the most egregious part of the map, where you are literally blocked from returning to your train until you craft an untold number of dynamite to blow through a gate. How do you do this? Well by running FOREVER around vast stretches of nothingness collecting ores and materials. Its mindblowing how boring this section is, and there is zero intensity or pacing consideration here. 3. The zombies look like they are from a cartoon, but everything else in the world uses realistic assets. At some point after your 2nd hour the zombies don't feel fun to fight, or even terrifying. They become obstacles to slow down your already boring trudging through vast, empty maps. You can see the farm map on the steam screenshots, imagine walking around that land where nothing is happening until you realize you need dynamite to return to the train. There is a zombie that shoots gas clouds, so half your fighting time is staring at what are basically green smoke grenades that hurt you if you go into them. 4. Iimportant pickups like weapons or the quintessential robodog companion in random rooms with no directional cues. If you missed those and left the station in your train you have to backtrack all the way which uses fuel, or you are screwed. 5. Weapons have no oomphf, or impact. In many cases you have to shoot a zombie multiple times in the head to take it down. There is no gore or anything, just blood splatter. It just feels so mid. The environment design is not atmospheric at all, and the map design really doesn't need to be this big with nothing to do for most of it. Cut down the walking, polish the game up. There is potential here, but it remains to be seen if its achieved. If you take away the train, what are you left with? A really bland and generic zombie survival game.

First and foremost, I do think this game is good. I like the train aspect. It's very unique. I like the crafting and how you bring your base around with you as opposed to backtracking like in most zombie games. But... It seems that killing zombies provides no benefit. There is no loot from them. Your melee attacks don't stagger them, so you lose health regardless in every fight. It's better to just run away from them. They are more of an annoyance or a damaging obstacle as opposed to a part of the game. It would also be a lot more fun of a game if it was one big open world and you could choose which direction your train goes by hitting the train track switches (like Spirit Tracks). Right now it seems to be just instances of areas with a town in each one. If in the future, I may repurchase it. As it is, it doesn't seem to be worth my time. Keep up the good work, devs, and keep working on the game. This one has the promise of being something truly unique and fun.
