If you are into puzzle games, this one is a must. Some of the more challenging puzzles I've played since Baba Is You, especially at later stages of the game. I couldn't stop playing until I cracked them all.

This is an extremely clever game, and I'm proud of myself for beating it. It feels like Portal did the first time I payed that: a truly mind-bending central mechanic, with tons of variations introduced gradually. It will break your brain and make you feel like a genius. Perfect Steam Deck game.

Patrick's Parabox, a logical puzzle game. It's about recursion and infinity, yes, but it's so much more than that! There's a handful of rules intentionally designed and made good use of to create all the smart and intricate puzzles. Some of them can be a bit challenging, but always with easier tutorial levels and nothing impossible to come up with yourself, which encourages you to think outside the "box". Strongly recommend, a masterpiece, one of a kind in puzzle games. The developer, Patrick Traynor, must have put a lot of effort and love in it. I used 31 hours to solve every puzzle without referencing any walkthrough. The game that inspired this, Sokosoko, was mentioned at the ending, and there's some Extra about the development. Clearly this wasn't made overnight. An absolutely amazing and beautiful mathematical journey <333

I held back on buying this for quite a while because of the price and honestly I regret not playing it sooner. Absolutely great game, puzzles didn't feel too tedious, levels aren't too hard, honestly 10/10.

A rare game where "going infinite" is a legitimate strategy.
The level design guides you to the "A ha!" moments, a stunning work of craftsmanship.
You can feel your brain thinking in and outside the box.

This is a perfect puzzle game. It begins by presenting the player with a simple set of rules, then lets them discover all kinds of ways to twist and bend those rules to solve some amazingly complex puzzles.
Being a computer nerd, doing things like using recursion to hop through layers of infinity really scratched my brain. But as complex as these late-game concepts are, the game really eases the player into them with easier puzzles intended to simply showcase various possible ways to bend the rules.
It really feels like the game wants you to succeed and move forward, which entices you further and further down the layers of recursion. I was always eager to discover what the next mechanic would be when completing one world and moving on to the next, and delighted to discover that this hole I was falling into ended right where it starts!
But the game also left a sort of Tetris effect in my head, where I kept seeing things recursively, seeing boxes inside of boxes, feeling recursion from my mouth to the back of my head. I can't explain it, this game just made me feel like I was going crazy, like solving all these puzzles was an obligation. Maybe it was the pretty graphics and lovely music? Maybe it's the promise of infinity, the feeling that there's a neverending hole of content to fall into and lose myself in, an infinite number of boxes that need moving and layers upon layers to discover...
Regardless, definitely a game worth playing. Completing it was one of the most satisfying experiences I've had this year lol.

If you are a gamer from the NES generation, think "Adventures of Lolo" and if that's your jam, this is for you.
That said, my 7 year old picked this game up and was mesmerized. The polish is amazing, about as good as it gets. I'm about 100 puzzles in, and if it were available as a physical copy for the Switch, I'd buy it again.
I'm not sure about replay value, since once you know, you know. That said, the mechanics become significantly more complicated after several hours in, involving mind bending sequences that I can imagine being something you forget after some time away. The beginner levels will be easy enough to simply fly through on any replay, but I'd bet the later levels are entertaining to revisit.
5/7 would recommend.
