Big jump up in quality from the first game. Thanks to some simple motion capture and cutscenes the game ends up a lot more engaging than it has any right to be, and the puzzles generally are also quite a lot better. Also sets up game 3 really well.

It was as enjoyable as the first one, though some of the puzzles were confusing and led to me having to google the answers. Didn't run into any bugs or problems when playing, and it has a chill soundtrack. The voice acting is also good, though there is a lot of reading in between puzzles which causes me to lose track of what is going on most of the time and I don't really know what's going on plotwise.

Гарна гра, значно легша за першу версію, чи може вже просто знаю на що звертати увагу, але все одно вартує уваги для цінувачів головоломок

I recommend this game with a few reservations. I generally do not play games such as this (huge cRPG fan), but after enjoying The Room series, I thought I would give The House of Da Vinci 2 a try. Most of the puzzles were fun, thought-provoking, and somewhat easily solved. However, there were a few puzzles that I spent more time trying to figure out the point of what I was doing than I did in actually solving them. Some of the mechanics of the game did not want to play well, there was a part in a later chapter where I wasted too much time searching for something that did not exist because I thought I needed another part to obtain a particular part. The fact was, the mechanics (glitch/bug/sorcery) of the game somehow kept me from getting the part and after finally looking it up, I realized I was not doing anything wrong. It took nearly 40 tries to get this particular scene in the game to work properly (brass handles). After that frustration, the rest of that room (mirrors) seemed like a frustrating chore instead of challenging entertainment. Overall, it was enjoyable and challenging enough.
