It's a nice game, brings back memories of when my laptop from the stone age could only run browser games.

The game is pretty fun. I really like the nostalgic feeling, and music :>. Art style really throws me back in time, i love it. Levels are pretty fun and different weapons make every playthrough a bit different yet still fun. It's amazing game overall, would recommend 10/10

I went into the game expecting a rather average experience, however, came out of the game surprised. The gameplay, while simple, is really addictive. Also, since the game has leaderboards, it's fun to work towards the top. Each level gets more difficult than the last and overall has a nice mix of fun gameplay that doesn't get boring quickly. Also, the OST is absolutely amazing. With nostalgia in mind, the game definitely speaks to an audience looking for retro-style graphics and gameplay. Overall, very well executed, 9/10.

When I saw just the screenshot I said wow this type of game was on my childhood, I immediately purchased it, and I can say it felt the same when playing, I really like this game and happy to know that is working on my Mac too :D. It felts like Im playing Chicken Invaders but is on different level, with different level I mean is very hard and you cant just complete a level without trying 2-3 times. Another thing that I felt is the gifts are very rare so this makes again the game more difficult but yeah I recommend this game to all who like old games

This is probably one of the better Space Invaders clones I've played, even better than the original game itself. Now don't let the "clone" get your hopes off. This not not a straight up clone. This game has a story, it has depth, and it plays out to be more engaging than the original. I'd say for its current price of 3.99€, this is a game everyone should have in their library. I usually write longer reviews, going more in depth, but I will wait with that for this one and write more in depth when I've played a bit more. But for now, definitely recommend this one!

Simple but fun ... I hope the developer also makes a Decimation X3 type of game too but this is a ton of fun too

Saw this on reddit first and though it looked pretty cool like a nice Galaga and Space invaders mix of a game, its really fun and addicitive so far ive only beaten the first chapter but the game is extremely hard I had a really hard time on the first chapter and the first boss, but overall its a really good fun game I will continue to play, but me and my friend would really enjoy a multiplayer because remote play is hard and buggy to do, a multiplayer where you can invite a friend would be super easy and cool if its added

System Invaders promises a couple of things I like. Space Invaders theme, simple graphics with particle effects, bosses and lots of bullets. They had just released a major update they seemed really thrilled about so I gave it a go. There are 5 chapters with each 5 levels consisting of 5 waves with the last wave of each chapter a boss fight. There's a checkpoint for each level. In normal mode you have 3 hit points with life drops given throughout levels. Hardcore mode has the same difficulty as normal mode but you just have 1 hit point and no life drops. You start with the basic white weapon but there are 5 weapons in total with different features. After defeating a boss you're awarded a weapon upgrade. The first chapter is very easy and the difficulty will gradually ramp up to the final chapter which is quite challenging. Each wave has different patterns the enemies move in but it's not really something you have to concern yourself with much. All you need to do is find a relatively safe spot, dodge all the bullets and watch the enemies move in the line of fire. At the end of each wave you just do a little clean up to destroy any remaining enemies. When you can't make it to the end of a level remember or write down the safest spot for each wave to get through. The green weapon with homing lasers is a bit overpowered. Just find a safe spot and your lasers will even hit enemies at the other end of the level. It makes boss fights much easier as well. In chapter 5 the green weapon becomes a bit of a handicap though because it doesn't do much damage and there are hardly any safe spots to wait for the green lasers to do enough damage to start taking out enemies. There's also a bit of an issue with finishing a level with certain weapons. If your current level demands a better weapon but you're stuck with the wrong weapon you may have to redo the previous level. Instead of adding scoring mechanics the developers chose to go with time and allowing you to replay levels with your current weapon upgrades. This makes all your times until your weapons are maxed out completely meaningless. Then when you go back all maxed out with levels designed for a weaker weapon all the levels which were fun before have become boring. Because of this I think they might as well have left the leaderboards out. If scores and score mechanics would have been used there could have been a mode with checkpoints, an arcade mode without checkpoints, a survival mode without checkpoints and without life drops and/or a boss mode etc. I think this would have helped a lot with replayability. With that said it took me a couple hours to complete the game in normal mode and a lot more to complete hardcore mode. Even though it became a bit repetitive I was enjoying myself because of all the bullet dodging. Here are a recordings of the final level in normal mode and the hardest level in hardcore mode: https://youtu.be/gvTI2n2BoD8 https://youtu.be/-DLaDAfGe4U
