Fun game, co-op is not required but much more fun.

I enjoy it so far. should have 4 player coup feels like that was the intention. good gunplay and the trap system feels rewarding once you experiment and learn each types role in the game.

I'm probably bad but this game is pretty hard. Anyway tl;dr it's a wave based TD like game. set defenses, stop waves of enemies from getting to the evac point. a little like sanctum 2 in terms of gameplay, still worth checking out

It's good! I hope devs continue to add more content as well. My favorite devices without a doubt are the turrets, like the shotgun and machine gun turrets. A sniper turret would be pretty cool too. The alien space marine enemy's are formidable, with their grenades and plasma shotguns. They are my favorite to fight. The weapons are cool, a magnum revolver would be a sweet addition, but there is good variety of ARs, shotguns, and snipers. Overall, looking forward to what comes next but it's enjoyable how it is right now.

This is a really solid game. The gun-play is good, and the mechanics as is are engaging enough to hold my attention. The criticisms I do have are being addressed with each update, and overall I like the direction the developers are taking the game in. There is a good deal of internal design tension, for lack of a better term, currently present, as the different systems don't quite perfectly mesh yet. For example, the different maps being physical locations on the ship is super cool, and leads to interesting decisions on where to fight, but it simultaneously typically results in funneling the player into the same couple of maps many times in a row, especially towards the end of a run where individual matches tend to take longer. There are a bunch of small conflicts like that between various systems, ranging from meta-progression, to run progression, to mission progression that make what could be a really amazing experience into a merely good one. That said, even if this was a full release, I think it's worthy of your time.

The crew update as a concept is inherently strange. Why do we need 4 individual characters, what's wrong with lives? Why do we have progression on them which effectively cuts progression down to 25% while also just doing nothing. This is overcomplicating things.

The game is extremely unforgiving in my opinion. It doesn't save your round level if you lose, so I would be on the last level but have one little bug get past so all my progress gets punished.

Challenging but extremely fun, music is amazing and the presentation is fantastic. The weapons are very satisfying and the environmental kills are always great. Can't wait to see what they add to the game in the future

weapon and trap are good but map design are terrible. it's design with coop in mind making some map absurdly hard in solo. without counting the amount of open area without cover in a FPS making the experience even worse for new player. some map are to short between the enemy lane to the door living no space for you to reposition. or being sandwich between enemy and dying really fast because of it. the only 2 map i count has being very well made are "crossing" and "thermal vats" but otherwise, for new player, i can't advise you to play the game at this state. (also the modifier to start the wave immediately when you spawn on the map is just completely unfair, change it to something else like 1/3 time before wave start for the entire defense for example, challenging without being unfair)

unfortunately it isn't very single-player friendly and is quite hard but with friends could be fun. do think it needs small balancing issues tho
