Got it cheap, I played one level and I am not a fan.
My gamepad didn't appear to be supported and keyboard controls are awful for games like this. Extremely buggy and unpolished. When you die, you often die so quickly you aren't even sure what killed you, whether it was spikes you could barely see, or a barrel exploding (which apparently kills you from across the entire screen somehow).
The boss attacks at the end of the first level were about 80% boring 20% unfair. Sliding under one of the attacks (which I am assuming is the intended way to dodge it) often results in you getting hit anyway, I'm assuming you have to keep holding down or it just reverts your hitbox to standing.
