Bought the game on sale, and finally got friends together to play it and found that the multiplayer is completely broken and crashes every time we try to load into a lobby. Judging from other reviews, reddit posts, etc. this is extremely commonplace. I'd love to enjoy this game, but I literally can't play. The game should have the multiplayer tag removed. To clarify, the multiplayer isn't bad or laggy, it just crashes immediately (and I mean immediately) any time I tried to use it other than the very first attempt on the first mission (Which also eventually crashed after the mission)

I tested it on Local (on device) multiplayer on my Steam Deck and it seems fine. I have also tried online multiplayer on PC and it also seems fine. Biggest problem (not really a big deal) was my controller didn't connect until I restarted the game. Overall, seems to be a fun game! I don't know about the other reviews and why they can't play properly. My specs: [Steam Deck] ; [Recommended Specs on Desktop], on ethernet My friend's: [Ryzen 5 5500U with Radeon Graphics Laptop], on wifi

Contrary to the majority of the bad reviews, I had great luck with this online. I was playing with another friend on Steam so I disabled cross-play. I'm not sure if that's the reason it worked but the experience is all there. Very chaotic fun. The more people you play with the harder it gets, which is a great feeling.

Game crashes and does not load for multiplayers. If you're going to buy this game, you better play it and test it within 14 days because steam will not refund you even if gameplay is nonexistent.

Great party game. Easy to pick up but hard to master.

Good party fun. This game serves as an excellent break whenever you and your friend(s) get burned out on a more serious game. That's how we stumbled upon it and it ended up being a lot of laughs (and occasionally some rage). Many good memories on this game already.

Great game, fun to play with the family. Started playing Overcooked 2 on the Xbox pass, eventually bought the "All You Can Eat" on Steam because it was cheaper.

I purchased Overcooked AYCE after playing both of the previous installments in the saga, hoping to experience more of the games I had already enjoyed, and that much I accomplished. The game's fine overall, looks prettier than the others, but I wouldn't really buy it IF you already played the other two titles: the only new features are 3 REALLY short DLCs which take a very brief amount of time to complete (if you already played a lot) and while they are cute, they aren't really worth the price. I knew there wouldn't be much new to play, but I didn't expect it to be so little. They could have added more, honestly. That being said, IF you haven't played any of the games, getting AYCE is a great choice: you will get to experience the entire Overcooked saga in in its best fashion and play all three games in one. Highly recommended in that case.

This game does not load online multiplayer. So if you are buying for playing with friends online do not get this game.
