LOVE - A Puzzle Box Filled with Stories Reviews

A lovely little time bending puzzle game. Some of the puzzles can be head-scratchers but don't think any of them are guilty of not being logical in the game. The stories are very sweet and the music is a great accompaniment. It's brief but definitely worth your time.

I was worried that from the first story-puzzle this game would be emotionally exhausting; on the contrary, I just can’t wait to play more of it. I’m resisting walkthroughs and just want to keep at it because I enjoy exploring the building so much. It has heart, style, and great music.

There aren't many games that make me feel genuine emotion but LOVE absolutely nails it. The lack of dialogue and the small amount of handholding expertly create a space for you to bring your own experiences to the narrative. In my humble opinion this is the PERFECT way to make an emotionally charged story without drifting into the realms of cliche. The honesty and beauty of the puzzle solving make this a truly unique experience . You gotta check this one out, it really is superb.

Just a thoroughly pleasant game that made me use my brain. Usually that's quite dangerous, but seemed to work out fine for me this time. The split between past and present is such a nice idea and was executed in a really satisfying way. It does lead to some mind bending puzzles though!

So, beyond the charming graphic aesthetic, the catchy sound track, the just tricky enough puzzles, and a brilliant time travel mechanic, this game also has heart. Heart enough to make you cry, if you've got a sentimental bone in your body. It also has a heart big enough to remind you that the Love of our past is still with us in our present, it's only ever as far away as a twist of the puzzle box. I loved this game, beginning to end and I would recommend it to anyone.

It feels like the devs poured their hearts into this one, and I'm glad they did. The concept, art and music are perfect, and the only problem is that the puzzles can feel obscure. Part of this is unavoidable - there are 4 sides to the building, multiple floors and both past and present, so you can only see a subset of the information at once. Additional subtle hints or signposting would've helped me, but still I enjoyed this charming and unique game.

This game is fully of amazing stories woven into engaging puzzles. One minute I am laughing the next minute I a choking back tears. This game is truly Lovely.

★★★☆☆ Overall, I'd say...yes, I recommend it. But I didn't love it, just liked it. It was a really interesting puzzle game, but I didn't understand half of what the stories were - they needed more clarification. But the music was good and I liked the mechanic of turning the building around to find the pieces to the puzzles. I also didn't expect the game to make me tear up within the first 5 minutes! lol If you enjoy puzzles, I'd say give this a try. They have insanely good sales on this game - it's worth the cost if it's on sale.

LOVE - A Puzzle Box Filled with Stories was a fun relaxing series of puzzles with a nice soundtrack. Some of the clues/puzzles you knew exactly where to go while others made you do a little more thinking and exploring. For me, made for a nice balance and leaves me looking forward to what Rocketship Park launches next. Not a very long review, mostly just wanted to show my support with a recommend.
