This game is amazing, love it. The online multiplayer is a bit dead, so you have to change your server region to europe in hopes of getting matches, but the missions, and the survival is great.

Video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sV2hdNz3W20 The Star Wars Battlefront 2015 version is by no means a bad game, but it completely misses the mark in appealing to the fan base. It's the only Star Wars video game that doesn't contain any story mode and it also completely excludes the entire Clone Wars era of the franchise. The only single player content is some wave based survival missions and some generic training and battle missions. This game takes place entirely in the Original Trilogy era. Play as the Rebels or the Imperials in multiplayer matches. Get lucky enough to pick up a hero token and play as one of your favorite iconic characters from the films. The game play is actually pretty great in this, offering a nice mix between the arcade feeling and a more competitive spirit. Unlike some modern "inclusive" shooter games nowadays, this one does feature a scoreboard with a kill / death ratio which is good. The other major positive is the progression system; primarily the custom "hands" which are loadouts that contain star cards, one of which has charges. The visuals are good and it definitely features authentic locales. The first issue is just the fact that it's only Original Trilogy content, sure the prequels may be lesser films, but the time period itself is particularly beloved by the younger fans of Star Wars, whom are generally all gamers as well. Even if you're not a younger fan who's obsessed with Clone Wars, that era is just the best choice when it comes to all out warfare anyways, with much more variety in canon equipment and vehicles. One of the craziest choices in this game is the ability to let Imperial troopers take their helmets off, which really needs no explanation as to how absurd that is. But the main problem is that there is no real single player value or story, making this a live service game with a short life cycle, that will not be played years from now unlike other Star Wars franchise games which will most likely live on for hundreds of years and still be enjoyed in the far future. Battlefront 2015 is not terrible, but it just has no lasting value and neglects too large of it's audience. The price was way too high when it first came out, and I still don't recommend it even at a heavily reduced price due to it's short lived nature. 4/10.

amazing game. completely underrated. survival mode is awesome, especially with a friend. although I wish that, on battle mode, you could play co-op instead of having to go against each other. I would also love if you could get hutt contract progress offline because its hard to find other players to actually play. other than that, it's very well made and the maps bring back a lot of memories from the movies. definitely would recommend to any star wars fan and a must have for fps lovers.

This game had a lot of problems. at launch especially. But it was the first game I ever played on PC back in the day. It was the main reason I got a PC. Going back now, its basically unplayable online, but despite the superiority of the sequel, the nostalgia of this game is still the best. Amazing sound design, gun variety, and the visuals are still great 10 years later. I miss you Battlefront 2015.

I am going to be based as hell. I love this game. I think it was genuinely well made. I am a huge fan of the original trilogy (episodes 4, 5, and 6) and this game did everything so well based off those movies and I wish more played it on PC. I played it a lot on PS4, and I had no issues with the lack of customization or anything. Unlocking some weapons, some different cards for your hand like the jet pack (which is such an awesome card). I was fine with it, because the content in my opinion, was already there (especially after all the additions of some maps of course). But it just felt like Star Wars. As an actual war. And 10 years later, I find myself wishing more people played. The Walker Squadron + AI brought me back, but if only AI was available for other modes. Maybe one day there will be, or there will be a resurgence on playing this game again... Well Obi Wan Kenobi, one can only hope.

As somebody who's played all the Battlefront games, this is the worst one out of them all. I know this game's history and even preordered it at launch. People were hyped for another Star Wars Battlefront game after the Free Radical one got canned. The hunger for another Battlefront never went away. Around 2013, they showed the Battlefront reboot trailer. Again, excitement was at an all-time high because of Episode VII and this. When it came out, it disappointed people because it wasn’t Battlefront of old. It didn’t have Instant Action, no Galactic Conquest, no campaign, no server browser, no Clone Wars—just Original Trilogy content across four planets: Hoth, Endor, Sullust, and Tatooine. That was it. That was the base game. Back in 2015, everyone admitted the multiplayer was fun back then. Now? It’s an absolute ghost town. The game that was technically supposed to be Battlefront III got treated like a beta test for what eventually became pay-to-win Battlefront II (2017). The DLC did make the game more fun, especially with Bespin and Death Star, but guess what? Nobody plays it. It was season pass content that divided the player base for $50. Now it's free and still dead. And DICE couldn't even be bothered to update their Skirmish offline mode. At least then, there would be some way to replay the DLC maps. The only way to play them now is to join a 2015 Discord server or mod them from Nexus, and even then, it’s still a ghost town. After 10 years, no modder has been able to add bots or transfer the good maps to Battlefront II (2017). This game is awful now in 2025. It really is. Say what you will about the OG Battlefronts, but at least I can go back to them anytime I want. Hell, even the canceled BF3 Wii leaked build—all those other Battlefront games have 100% accessible content. No microtransaction crap. They’re actually something I can own and enjoy. Can’t say the same for 2015. The only good things about this game are the visuals, gunplay, customization, weapons, survival mode, and DLC maps. But all of that is void when you can’t even access any of its DLC, and the game feels hollow. Final rating: 4/10 If you plan to get this game for nostalgia—it’s gonna age like milk. It's the worst Battlefront by far.
