Kandagawa Jet Girls anime had NUDITY, while this game has less fan-service than any Senran Kagura game.
The only reason to play this game is that it has the best looking Senran Kagura characters which gives us a clue to what SK6 would've looked like if soyny didn't kill the franchise with its censorship. God I do hope Concord is the future of playstation.

It's basically Riptide GP with booba. However, while the game supports controller and has the keys show in the settings, it refuses to do so outside of that. Not even for the tutorial which is making figuring out what does what a total pain in the ass. Really poor game design. Who even plays a racing game with a fricken keyboard? Especially one such as this with so many extra inputs. What were they thinking? The camera is also utterly abysmal in this game. It's sad cuz the graphics are so much better than Riptide's but I'd still rather play that.

A surprisingly good game with a lot of complexity and elements in gameplay for what I'd assumed was a fanservice game.
Kandagawa Jet Girls is a jet racing game with a surprisingly simple but fun customizability for the jets. The races are complemented by water guns to engage other jetbikes to damage them and get ahead, as well as dash pads and jump pads where the girls can perform tricks to gain specific temporary boosts to stats so that they can get ahead and ultimate techniques that confer huge advantages should they be saved up for and used.
The only problem with the game is the difficulty scaling. The initial races in the story modes are fun and challenging, but by the time all the upgrades have been purchased and equipped, the later levels became a cakewalk, which meant that the combat system became unused and the only way to lose is to fall asleep in the middle of the match.
The story is typical anime stuff where girls with different personalities discover something about themselves or strengthen their relationship through racing. Its there. Its fine. Its not horrible, but not perfect either.
The online play scene for this game is also as dead as a door nail, so don't expect anything there.
Regardless of all these flaws, its a fun and engaging game with a unique system and gameplay. Get it on sale. Its good for a playthrough.

Very fun jet racing game with kawaii anime girls.
You play the game in chapters and each chapter has around 8 jet race battles. At each race you unlock stuff like clothing and parts for you jets. With the coins you collect throughout the maps you can buy items to equip your girls or improve your jets.
I found the game very easy for about 5/6 of the story so I barely had to buy any upgrades for my jets during the majority of the game.
The sounds (VA/music) are great and the art is very beautiful.
Very worthy buying with a discount. Too bad people don't play this game online anymore. It would be a very fun arcade multiplayer racing game

If you're buying this (or any game, really) for the fanservice then I can't help you. Honestly, you zone out on the girls' appearances pretty damn quick.
I found myself much more enamoured by their storylines and quirks. The two gyarus are sweethearts, the foreign otakus are bundles of good cheer, the idols are the most sarcastic of the cast (in a fun way), the shrine maidens are thirsty and you'll root for the ojou and her maid. The two least interesting teams are the bland first team and the edgy last pair (who you only unlock after beating all other teams' stories).
The racing is genuinely fun, though. It's not too difficult to win any race, but shooting for the higher scores can provide enough challenge to keep you playing for hours. Pulling off the tricks and finding a good groove in a race never stops being satisfying.
It's a good single-player racer for people who don't regularly indulge in racing games. It is fun, challenging to a point, but doesn't take itself seriously and the learning curve is gentle.
Pick it up if it's going cheap. It's a fun diversion for a couple of days.
