Decent little game this. Gets you a good hour of fun. Interesting mechanics and level design. Cool to be able to watch the development story on YouTube as well

Found this game through the YouTube series a few years ago, leaving a positive review now after nominating it for most innovative gameplay. Cool game, nice work :)

It's alright.
For me it felt really easy (I only played on normal difficulty), the guns felt nice and the mechanics seemed polished. But the enemy AI is really bad imo, in the exact millisecond you shoot they immediately fire back (especially the sniper, through a solid concrete wall know your exact location once you fire a single bullet).
All levels are easily clearable with my so called "fire-pickup-fire" tactic. Basically you drop a weapon (or pick one up if one is laying around) then drag it close to an enemy, kill them and once the next enemy shoots your weapon to a crisp you pickup the weapon the previous enemy dropped, rince and repeat.
The bullethell-esque ending sequence also was kinda meh, dragging the enemy into some blackhole looking things wasn't that fun. Mostly because they have a stronger pull in the opposite direction than your mouse pull. The bossfight after that was pretty cool though.
If you just want to pickup a game by Miziziziz, I would recommend Endoparasitic. It's much more fun and enticing as this is.

Fantastic top-down action game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Some levels are a little puzzle-y, and others are a slaughterfest of troops being slain by their own dead allies' weaponry. Well worth the price, and the developer already seems intent on creating more games with innovative mechanics like this, so definitely somebody you want to be supporting.

10/10 brilliant game. it's quite short but it's cheap, very polished and heaps of fun! it's the kinda game you only play once but the levels don't have set solutions so going back and playing it again start to finish after a while and looking at the puzzles another way would probably be really fun.
i struggled a bit to understand how the final boss worked initially but once i got the hang of it it made sense and everything else in the game makes a lot of sense too. although i don't think it says anywhere that you can control the grenades the same way as the guns, i only knew that from watching the developer's YouTube series about making the game.
Definitely reckon the game is worth the money though it's done fantastically, very clean very easy to play. it did bug out a little bit on one of the levels and the game crashed and then when i loaded it back up the game froze for a second on that level again but i left it alone and it sorted itself out and the whole thing ran perfectly apart from that one level.

i cant really format this so instead here is a list of my pros and cons
pro: the weapons are each very well designed with their own benefits and drawbacks
pro: the game is very replayable with the bigger levels having a bunch of different solutions
con: the difficulty curve is all over the place, most of the levels i found hard were in the first half of the game
con: when levitating guns it can be very hard to aim
con: once you get the sniper some of levels just turn into "shoot all the enemies before they get to you" instead of the puzzle / stealth element that made this game unique in the first place

I love the idea, but it's a rough test. The unique gun levitation requires mouse and keyboard, and the control scheme is a big issue for me. You can't scroll through weapons, they all require manual reloads, and everything has to be done swiftly because enemies will aimbot you the first frame they can. The instant death requires X to respawn, which could've just been any input instead.
With proper stealth options and levels with more options, this could've been a great power trip, even if short. As it is, it feels like your character is the least powerful person compared to an army of aimbots.

This game is short. Really short. But that really doesn't matter.
It's incredibly fun to use the main gimmick (that you can control guns) and use it to distract enemies.
Right now I am trying to beat the game without shooting an enemy and it's hilarious.
For this price I can recommend it!

My Experience
Theyest Thou has a bad name, but an interesting premise and exciting tactical/stealth gameplay. As it only takes one shot to put you down, you'll need to direct enemy attention away from yourself using guns that fall from enemies as you slowly pick apart the opposition. Enemies will destroy any weapons that they see levitating, so you'll often need to make quick shots from outside enemy line-of-sight before unassumingly dropping the weapon again on the ground. Directing enemy attention this way can make the player feel like a mastermind.
I loved using the shotgun, grenade launcher, and sniper rifle, but the recoil on the SMG was so extreme that you almost had to have a wall behind the levitating gun prior to firing so it didn't wildly fly off-screen. I liked the game's aesthetic and world, and appreciated these even more after watching the short "making of" documentary on YouTube. However, I can't claim to really understand the game's story, which is told through messages that appear when the player approaches colorful video screens spread throughout the game's levels.
Although the game isn't particularly challenging, with the exception of the second silo level, it did require me to gain proficiency with its mechanics. In the aforementioned silo level, It's very easy for enemies to close in on you from both sides without some considered tactical play. Developer Narayana Walters does re-use a couple of level templates, but this seemed to make sense in the military complex that the main character finds herself in.
Although it's rather short, I didn't feel cheated by the game's length. I would've welcomed a few more levels, but the game feels fine as it is. I was tragically unaware of what it would be like to be a telekinetic Gun Yogini, and the developer has cured my ignorance. For that I am thankful :)

Bought on the release day, and I've had a lot of fun. I played on Linux where it runs great natively. It's a pretty short game (it took me one hour to complete), but it has a matching price tag and it's a nice experience. I also understand it as a teaser for something bigger (Thouest Thee), which the developer is working on.
The gist is that you go through levels clearing enemies (with a pretty decent AI), gain new weapons with interesting abilities, and the twist is that you can control weapons telekinetically. You control the players and its equipped weapon with WASD + Left mouse button, while you can control a distant weapon with Right mouse button at the same time. It allows some interesting tactical situations, takes some time to master and is pretty innovative.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this game :)
Disclaimer: I'm one of the developer of the game engine used to make this game. I did however buy the game and evaluated it as a player, not a developer ;)
