Really nice aesthetic and concept would be great if they fleshed this out and made it into a whole full length game very fun even though it's short

This is one of the best if no the best sokpop game i have played (in my opinion). It is short, sure, but it is just perfect. From the combat to the setting and atmosphere and litteraly the concept. I seriously reccomend this game if you are a sokpop fan. Happy Gaming!

It's might impressive for a game made in under a month. A quick little bounty hunter simulator with a small open world, with NPCs and police that react to your mayhem more or less like you'd expect (which is more than Cyberpunk 2077 ever did). But do keep your expectations in check. It's a game that you can complete in 10 minutes and nice style and visuals aside there isn't much depth here nor is there some involving narrative. it's mostly a demonstration of what can be achieved in game design with a tight deadline.

Good premise but the game is awkward and too simple. I forget the name of the similar game but don't be fooled by the preview. Its too simple and plain. Nuff said.

Super short. Puts you right into the Game without any explanation. Hitboxes are chunky and gameplay is basic. Yet for some reason I adore this 5min game. Its cute in a way, open ended and has an awesome, moody, dark atmosphere. Expand this concept and you have a great title.

In the future of SokPop games, they should really add to their existing IPs to craft better games that last longer than 10-30 minute intervals. There's a lot of potential that these games have that a lot of people would really love to spend more time on. There's not much to say about this game beyond what's already on the box: you play as a bounty hunter, you hunt bounties, and you make enough money to get off of this watered-down planet. You have a gun and a scanner, and you're left to your own devices from there. It's very neat, very aesthetically driven, and very cool. It's also very short. Like, literally finished in ten minutes short. I understand that most of these games were made with simplicity and development time in mind, but I really think that this game, among others, should be turned into a Deluxe game and be expanded upon even more. This could easily become a great little arcade game where you have to hunt for a way off of the planet, find bounty stations, and earn enough money before the ship leaves. Hell, just having an endless mode with procedural environments to visit would be great. I'm still going to play this game because I find it neat enough to keep, but replayability would make this game worth keeping even more.

Very promising conception, neat atmosphere, nice raw aesthetics (reminds me “Bernband” a bit), but still very simplistic. 10-20 mins duration is fine, there is no problem with it, but the saddest thing – every location in the game looks completely same. There are no unique details and nothing interesting at the islands – nothing to explore. The mood and the atmosphere of the game assume this sort of bluesy melancholic vibe and wandering spirit, but the game itself doesn’t support this motivation. The "FPS" part of the game is also very basic. It’s frustrating, because the game conception has a huge potential to become a nice little mood-piece.

Short but entertaining, somewhat replayable. Looks pretty if you like the style the devs were gunning for (I like it). You will definitely beat it in 10-20 minutes (I got all the achievements in 20 minutes total, and I could have gotten them in 5 if I'd checked their description beforehand). I still recommend it in spite of its short length since it's cheap and I had fun with it. Would be nice if the devs ever revisit the concept.

SokerPop 2077 is a cyberpunk bounty hunter simulator featuring 8 minutes of content and 7 achievements for an approximate 15 minutes of "judge, jury and executioner". To pay for your $900 ticket to outer space, you must terminate 3 highly dangerous criminals across the 3 sectors using the highly sophisticated scanner and your trusty charge blaster. As you traves across the vast empty design space, you will need to operate a hovercar that traves much faster once you realize that you need to hold shift for boosters. I would tell you that game has a fantastic concept that had a lot of great ideas, but it would not be SokPop if the game was actually developed beyond the proof of concept.
Clunkypunk Content-Hunter
Blue Drifter is a cyberpunk bounty hunting game from the Sokpop collective. You play as a bounty hunter trying to take three targets so that you can afford a ticket to space. The three different targets are found in three different locations, often close by to a couple of bandits or guards to make things a bit trickier for you. Out of all of Sokpop’s games, this one’s premise appealed to me the most which made it at all the more disappointing for me when I actually played it. You essentially have five minutes of content here and the only reason it took me longer than that to beat was because I had to try it a few times. This isn’t my first Sokpop game, so I know not to expect much, but three targets that can easily be completed in under five minutes just doesn’t seem like enough content to me. The actual gameplay is semi-enjoyable. Driving/flying to the different locations is pretty neat, and then when you get there you have to scout everything out a bit before rushing in. However, I found the aiming/gunplay to be pretty clunky. It’s difficult to judge whether or not you’re in range of the targets, and even when I felt sure that I was I still missed sometimes. Two of the targets and the guards have shields which require a charged shot, but charging the shot leaves you vulnerable and its difficult to move around enough to dodge even just one person shooting at you, let alone more.
Verdict:
I would love see Sokpop return to this concept and make a fully fledged game, but as it stands Blue Drifter is a tad bit too clunky and offers such little content that it’s hard to recommend.
