This is good, but in the 1980's there were more locomotives than just CN GMD GP40-2LWs and CN SD40-2Ws. There were CNR GP9s and since we're talking about the 1980's here, VIA Rail Canada was also a thing as well. This should be taking place in the early to mid 90's because I sure as hell don't want to be operating just two locomotives that are not only identical to one another, but are also nearly the same. I want to operate VIA rail passenger services, operate a Pro Range version of the legendary CN GP9rm, and operate the Rocky Mountaineer. Come on Dovetail, put some more creativity and awesomeness in your routes please. I'd like to refrain from using two locomotives on a massive route. It's already bad enough your railroad crossings are horrible and lack any sort of realism as well as your AI trains that don't honk horns or ring bells.

Overall, great route. The only bad thing about this route that I can think of is that not a single curve is superelevated. The rolling stock is great however. One locomotive that should've been included which was more common in the 1980s than the SD40-2w and the GP40-2LW was the standard cab SD40 (numbered 5000-5240).

Sorry, but, the track isn't even super-elevated. Taking curves and there are a few sharp ones on this route, feel unrealistic and from the outside view of the train, it looks awful. This route was released on the 9th of July 2020 so, for it not to sport super-elevated tracks, it is pretty poor from Dovetail Games. Just as an aside, one of the brake gauges on the SD-40 ("Lumber Drag" scenario) shows only one, unmoving, gauge needle. Why do I need to get Steam support for something that should not have been wired up wrong in the first place and then rushed out by DTG? The quality of the route, except in the towns and in the complexity of the railyards, is mediocre. It is not worth the full price, wait for a sale. I can't recommend this add-on to TS 2021, to me it was disappointing.

This is a very scenic route, something like Canadian Mountain Passes, but not as rugged. This scenic route has excellent Lakes like Moose Lake which the route follows. The one disappointing thing is there are some bushes all along the route that look like they heve been sprayed in incadecent green paint and should be dulled down. This is something the builders of the New Zealand route did with their garish Broom and Gorse bushes. Apart from that I do recommend this route.

This is another superior creation by Jonathan Lewis of Milepost Simulations. I am particularly impressed with the forestry. I see a significant improvement in the trees over his previous release of the Peace River Region. The scenarios are very enjoyable. That being said, I must concur with some previous reviews of this route in that the route could do with some more "eye candy." Scenery objects are rather sparse relative to the FOV of the camera angles. All in all, I could see this becoming one of my favourite routes and I have no reservation about recommending this route to others.

Honestly a good route. Very little reskined cars, and it comes with a decent tanker of the first time in the US market. The scenery looks pretty good, however the route lacks superelevation, which slows runs down and looks bad.

Another NA TS route graces us and its def a looker -- i'll get my few negatives out of the way first... To start, dont expect much from the engines, whilst the gp40-2lw is technically new, i think its just a rehashed gp40 and sd40 comfort cab mashed together - sounds are to be expected The ground/terrain textures can look a little bland and washed out at times, i think a bit more "clutter" or random line side items would help in this respect. Maybe more grass, foliage as well -- The goods.... The rolling stock is great and quite varied - as well as a unique caboose The map itself is pretty, stunning views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and several subdivisions in one package. Unique signs and signalling to the line which CN uses IRL, crossing arms are present where required and whistle boards throughout Terrain is stunning at times, alongside glacial melt water and literally riding along side water nearly the whole time Nice little details in some areas, Namely Jasper the largest town/yard on the map - i leave those to be discovered ;) SPEED! its not a crawl like our other Canadian routes in game, the average is probably 40mph which is hyperspeed compared to Peace River The grades aren't insane but enough to keep you on your toes as the routes and various subs are located within valleys along the Rockies -- I think of it as getting this add on for the map and the rolling stock - adding whatever engines you want is key MPS has stepped up over previous maps imo - its easily one of their better add ons If i had to come up with a number 7 / 10 -- also if you'd like a quick look to give you a chance to see it in the flesh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GNbrOMKjsw
