Been playing it for a few hours but it's a great mystery dungeon game to play if you love Monster girls (like me) and enjoy getting the one you like.

Lovely little dungeon crawler and lots of cute monster girls! Pretty much no plot apart from escaping the dungeon of 50 floors. It's fun relying on the monster girls to watch your back. Rust traps are the worst thing ever, don't count on maxing gear because literally every floor has level down gear traps. I can honestly say this is the 2nd best monster girl based game (Moero Crystal H being my #1) because of the sheer variety of girls and fun gameplay. It's only missing translation polish, and sadly the dev hasn't fixed it yet because his English speaker bailed.. :( Anyways nice game totally worth my money and time!

One of the best monster girl games out there, cute and fun but also quite hard and unforgiving. Very good game that can be enjoyed for long hours

Went in there not expecting much. I mean, it's called "Monster Girls and the Mysterious Adventure". Turns out I was wrong, this game is pretty good. It's not unbalanced, the writing's fun, the gameplay is pretty interesting and the artstyle grew on me after a while. This game oozes charm, and I'm all for it. Buy it if you want a nice, comfy title to spend time on.
Will definitely give the 2nd installment a try, too. Great first impression with that one.

Good roguelike mystery dungeon with monster girls. If you come from the sequel, you can play this for the story what happen before the sequel. If you new to series, just play the sequel instead.
Still fun game tho, personally like this artstyle than the sequel.

Cute Mystery Dungeon game with cute monster girls.
Not much to explain here, if you played any MD game you know the gist of it, the only difference is that game is balanced around befriending monster girls who serve as your companions in dungeons.
Overall it's pretty neat take on the genre and I have plenty fun playing it. The endgame is pretty brutal but story reaches satisfying conclusion way before that so it's not mandatory for more casual play.
I've heard opinions that you should go straight to second game and skip this one, but there is nothing particularly terrible about this one, the only problems I noticed is that controller support is nonexistent, but you can always map keyboard actions to controller using Steam Input or third party software, and that I'm pretty sure english translation was done using machine translation since it's very incoherent. It's not that big of a deal since game story is simple and understandable it's just sometimes item/skill descriptions or girls request are hard to grasp.
But overall it's a good game with cute girls so it easily earns a recommendation.

one of the best mystery dungeon-type games you can get in Steam currently
The english can get wonky sometimes but still very understandable
If you liked Shiren the Wanderer or any Pokemon mystery dungeon game, this is a definite recommend!

Definite Recommend! Solid mystery dungeon game. The music and art are very charming, and the gameplay and controls are familiar. Between learning about the various monster girls and what they want to recruit them and potentially unlocking NPCs in the village to provide new services to help you. To exploring dungeon, finding, upgrading, and even adding new effects to your equipment. There's quite a lot to keep you occupied.
The more I play it, the more I fall in love with it. Good luck with the other languages, Nekotokage!

It's a roguelike monster tamer. Instead of forcibly capturing monsters and then cruelly locking them in tiny cages, you befriend monsters and invite them to hang out in the town where you live or accompany you on your adventures. So basically, an ethical variant on monster taming, and you can't capture a monster who isn't interested in helping you--which many aren't, though some in every family are.
While fundamentally turn-based, the game moves at a brisk pace, and you'll commonly go through several rounds per second while not fighting, or about a round per second while in combat, unless you need to stop to think or use items or some such. Even if the exit to a floor is in the very last place you check, taking 300 turns and killing 15 monsters to get there only takes a few minutes.
There is no Mewtwo or otherwise ridiculously overpowered monsters. In a lot of games where you have a ton of characters to choose from, some are clearly stronger than others, and everyone is basically forced to use the same set of really overpowered ones. Here, the monsters are split into 29 groups (with the monsters in a given group graphical recolors of each other), and later monsters in a group tend to be clearly stronger than earlier ones. The last monster in nearly every group is viable at endgame, though Pink Slime and Red Witch really aren't.
While you start over at level 1 in every dungeon run, your friends and your gear don't, and those provide a sense of long-term progression. There are quite a lot of game mechanics, and just when you think you've found everything, the game will introduce you to a new item, new dungeon, new variant on gameplay, or something else new. And it will do that to you many times, so there are probably substantial things that I haven't yet found and don't realize are in the game.
The English translation is pretty rough, and a few things didn't get translated at all from the original Japanese. Apart from that, the game is pretty polished. I haven't seen any clear bugs in game mechanics, though there are a lot of things that someone might mistake for a bug if they don't understand how it works--and that actually make sense once you understand how it works. There are some graphical bugs with white boxes getting stuck on your screen until you exit the game or return to the title screen, most notably with Undine's splash attack. Other than that and Charybdis's ink splash, they're quite rare, however.
While the game is fully 3D rendered, many screenshots will look as though they could have been drawn by hand by a not very good artist. Even so, everything is smoothly animated and the whimsical art style works well for what the game set out to do.
The controls are configurable, comfortable, and work well, at least once you figure out that the weird character for your main action is actually a Z. While primarily intended as a keyboard-only game, a controller works just as well.
It's just a one-time purchase to have full access to the game forever, with no DLC, no item mall, and no other predatory junk. And there's quite a lot to do, so it will take a long time finish everything. It's not the sort of game that you could play through in several hours and be done, so it's a lot of value for not a lot of money.
