This game is like if you got the pacing and action of the original Doom and mashed it with the sandbox aspects of minecraft, and then because the developers are just cool like that, you sprinkle in a little dishonoured. The story is interesting, I definitely got hooked. Also you play as a chic with a robo-arm that fires a cannon, what's not to bloody love?
This game is definitely only for the hardcore gamers, if you run out of bullet time, you die, if you run out of ammo and there's no guns near you? you die. both of which are very easy to do
If you're looking for a chiller experience but still want a high skill ceiling, check out the developer's other game, it's this but with a beautful world, a hoverboard and both of your arms (one of which is used for a grappling hook.

A game constantly on sale, amazing movement, enemies that scream in pure terror seeing a cybersoldier wallrun at them with a laser arm, phenominal guns, and A TON of post campaign content. You get bare minimum 8 hours of gameplay for a game that's constantly on sale for five bucks.

Peak game. Originally finished this due to it being free on epic games. I loved every single second and minute. It was a really fun game. What else do you want me to say? 10/10. Go play Pirate Yakuza aswell.

I'm not much of an FPS person but this game had me hooked when I got it on Epic and then also bought it on Steam (iirc for the RTX patch).
Very fun, you can always cheese things with the slomo button when there's just too much happening, and the destruction just feels plain good.

Love this game, especially the soundtrack. The camera can make me a bit nauseous but otherwise the level design is good, the voice acting is good, I enjoyed the references. Gameplay was also really fun.

Fun gameplay and great music but extremely short playtime. Price tag may be too expensive for it's playtime, best option would be grabbing it during a sale

It's like if Super Hot and the reflexes of a modern COD player on adderall got blended together and can only be washed down by wallrunning, sliding, and shooting the shit. That's just good gaming right there brother.

Severed Steel is a pretty fun movement shooter. It can seem a bit shallow at first if you rely on slo-mo too much but it becomes a lot more satisfying once you challenge yourself to only use it when necessary. If you're having performance issues make sure to go over your graphics settings. An empty square means unselected whereas a cross inside the square means selected, I found that a bit confusing at first.

There's not much to say about the story here, just know that you'll identify with a cyber woman who is missing part of one arm, but can deal blows and shoot with the other one. In addition, she replaced the missing part of her arm with a cannon attached to her shoulder, which she can literally make holes in walls and the ground. This is one of the characteristic parts of the game. Destruction of the environment plays a big role. You can destroy entire walls and burn the floor by creating a hole through which you can jump to a lower floor. In short, it can be used wonderfully and often you can actually shoot your way right through objects and corpses.
A single-player FPS with a smooth stunt system, a destructible voxel environment, lots of bullet time and a unique one-armed protagonist.
It's you, your trigger finger and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of villains. Chain together wall runs, water jumps, somersaults and slides to destroy every last enemy. 20%

After playing demo long time ago and beating Echo Point Nova, I decided to give it a shot, and I certainly did not regret in the slightest.
The movement may seem tamer in comparison, but it is still fluid, strong and over the top, especially considering more linear level structure. Air control, dive, slide, and even kick are providing mind-blowing momentum. It may not be that hard overall, but the encounters can still provide enough challenge, which was a bit lacking in the next Greylock Studio's game (kudos to heavy soldiers with flamethrowers for that).
Despite being short, it has impressive list of additional game modes, mutators and weapon customization to mess around with.
While Severed Steel is all about gameplay, some elements of environmental storytelling were a pleasure to see. It is also amusing, that all of campaign levels are connected into a simple narrative without giving too much exposition. Some of the missions in last chapters made me raising hands like Scorsese while saying "Absolute cinema". Superhot influence is noticeable here, and I mean it as compliment.
Last but not least, Floating Door's music here is also nothing but bangers.
It is that movement shooter kids are craving for. It is one of those "shorter games with worse graphics" some people are expecting to see.
Severed Steel is also dirt cheap on sales. I do not see any reason not to buy it, if you are into some nice fast paced FPS games.
