It is amusing to be reviewing a game about fallacies and forcing false dichotomies and not being able to give a review score more nuanced than "recommended" or "not recommended". This is likely obvious, but if the theme doesn't appeal to you, don't bother. The combat mechanics are simple, there are (fairly minor) UI frustrations sprinkled throughout, and character pathfinding is hit-and-miss. I also unfortunately can't say this is an easily picked up title for those unfamiliar with RPGs/games in general, because tutorials are sparse and menus are a bit fiddly, so it helps to be quite familiar with the genre and therefore what to look for and how you might generally expect things to work. That said, since the theme DOES appeal to me, I had an amusing two hours. (I feel that I should state my 1.9 hours of playtime is a coincidence, and I will not be returning the game) There are over fifty distinct characters in the game, all with dialogue, most of it tongue-in-cheek amusing. My first combat encounter was defeating a wolf in "debate" by literally yelling it into submission. By the end, my character was a silver-tongued charmer, using Ambiguity to put my enemies to sleep, then force-feeding them a stream of Appeals to Emotion, Cherry-Picked Data, and Conspiracy Videos to finish the job and brainwash them into becoming my evil minions. Come for playing as the villain, stay for the angry closed-minded torches-and-pitchforks mob that follows you everywhere like a string of ducklings.
In the end, you are converted to the pro-science side. I must admit that I really missed my super-effective anti-science arsenal in the final boss fight. On the way home, I soundly defeated a pack of wolves by fact-checking their arguments and showing them some informational videos.
