There is so much potential here. I would like to see a sandbox mode and an improvement of controls. Gameplay is not intuitive, and I'm not sure that the tutorial makes anything better... This game is not ready.

The game is confusing to play. I was unable to follow what the objective of the game was about. I had to look up the controls and yet some of the controls did not even work properly or at all. Could not even place a door because I was unable to scroll down in the list menus. I would not recommend this game to anyone, and would strongly suggest anyone looking at this game to reconsider. It is a waste of money for a undeveloped game.

For the price asked, I would be happy with a sandbox-style point-and-click game like "Townscaper", with no restrictions and very straight-forward and simple to play.

I think this game has some potential. Desperately needs an in depth tutorial, not the few images that flash on the screen. Also needs a free build mode. Resource management games are fun but sometimes I just want to build.

I feel like the game gets in the way of my creativity.
I'm impressed by some elements, like the placement of assets and their quality. But it is lacking a great deal in its user experience, being quite obtuse in its interface and mechanics. On a basic level, it doesn't feel very enjoyable to control.
I like the idea, and the price would be very fair. But I had been given the wrong expectations, and I feel burnt out on it already. Without an Early Access label, I don't expect sweeping changes either.
I do think there is potential. There is still a lot of work to be done, and I wish the developers all the best, but I hadn't signed up for that journey. The game seems to be feature complete, so I would label it as a Beta.

all I can start with is what a disappointment!
The game definitely needs improvement especially in the controls area. Even when you know the key bindings, you need to figure out how to release menu to scroll. Overall the controls are clunky.
Also their help section says you get resources by number of buildings and citizens you have. Well I had 4 buildings. With decor in each (which you supposedly need for citizens to move in.) Well the citizens never showed after 5 sleep cycles so I never got anymore resources. Since I got no more resources I couldn't build anything else. Even had the tutorial running on my second attempt. Didn't get much further.
The game has promise but needs some major refinement. Providing that the devs are still working with it. current rating 2/10.
I will leave comments open to those that got farther than I did. Maybe tell me what I am doing wrong to get additional resources. If I remedy that, I'll try it again, maybe change the rating too. We'll see

It looks great in the trailer and the screenshots, and I absolutely love the style. But the actual game is a completely unplayable mess, with horrible mechanics and controls and no tutorial or proper instructions. This was the first game I ever returned on Steam.

Unplayable. Unfinished game. No user guide. No anything. The screenshots are not indicative of what you can do. I spawned in on the roof with the worst case of mouse inertia I have ever experienced, in permanent Look mode. I was unable to get into the castle or build farms, outbuildings, etc. It is not as advertised. I will be asking for a refund. Buyer beware!

I’m recommending this ONLY because I have been waiting for this kind of game for years and it really does function as a relaxation builder game. Mostly.
This game would be fantastic if it was an EA game and the dev was actively working on issues and improvements.
The controls are not initially intuitive but you can get used to them after a bit once you figure out how to move and use things.
You also can’t load saves or start a new game from the menu. You need click “start a new game” where it will load one of your previous saves (not the current one) and from there, you can start a new game or load an old save. There's little things in the basement left over from some old build I guess. So this game is a little rough around the edges.
All that said, if you don't mind that, this is a nice resource management/builder hybrid. You start out with some resources but they do not get you very far. Just a tiny keep and a few small farms.
You must balance your resource production, population and aesthetics to grow you castle day by day.

Edit: I've changed my recommendation.
I no longer advise anyone to purchase this game. If you buy it and have problems with it like a simple CTD, the dev is nowhere to be seen. No updates. No fixes. Just trash.
The thing that made me change this?
Datamining. I went to make a video walkthrough to help some people out with these awkward controls only to find that I can't change the save file name.
Not only that, it uses my real name as the name of the save. Thanks, you absolute potato. How in the world did you get that? I've typed it in nowhere. Are you stealing info from when I purchased it perhaps?
Whatever the reason, don't buy this game. It's sketchy AF.

I dont normally review with less than 2 hrs ... but since there are no reviews yet ill put one up. This game shows me everything i want in a building/management game. Great graphics, awesome build style, cool concepts , and a focus on building not necessarily management outside of what you need to generate to continue building. The game plays and feels great, looks great... there is one severe problem however.....
There is no Tutorial. Which normally wouldnt matter as most of these follow the same tropes and you can figure it out. NORMALLY. They have done something fantastic with moving away from the tired played out mechanics of similar games... but in so doing make figuring out how the game works pretty brutal. I have figured out how to place houses ( sounds easy right?... ) but not in how to keep them happy , not to mention i feel like they give you just enough resources to get started.... provided you know how to start correctly in the first place. If you make your initial castle a square to big , you have to restart, or if you dont realize you need a bed so that you can progress the game through sleep, you have to restart... might not be a huge problem, but it gets super annoying and grindy to have to restart 12 times in a 36 min play time due to having no idea whats going on. There is a help section but its a bare bones as it gets. it gives you basics of the game in weird sections without explaining how you first get to the point where that help advice is relevant....
I really really hope that the devs put something in that explains the background mechanics and how to do some of the even basic stuff. If I knew what i was doing i would probably put hundreds and hundreds of hours into this game as the building, decorating, and management are all very very deep ( like super deep my friend) and are above most others of this type... but without some basic mechanics explained i feel most people will walk away from what could be an amazing builder!
I want this game to succeed so i will give it a thumbs up... but i DO wish there was a maybe ...
I also want to say if you think the devs will fix this one huge but simple problem then this is a no brainer must buy especially for the price!!!
EDIT: The devs have put in a light tutorial... and honestly its just enough to figure stuff out so great job devs .. simple quick fix and much appreciated! with this i can def recommend the game. Also now that we have the tutorial, i have had no issues knowing what i need to do to progress. its a great chill game with no time clock making the later partt of the game very chill and enjoyable while you figure out how you want things to look and feel. I still dont know how to edit pieces of castle once they are built ( height expansion, ect) but im sure illl figure it out. i think if you are into pure building and enough game mechanics to make it feel worth it then you will def be happy picking this up.
Also a tiny recommendation for the devs, if you add modding to this you could have a real star, although this being a VR game also that might not be feasible ...
