挺不错的小品游戏，买了当天一口气7小时通关。不太懂为什么那么多差评，女性角色的外观还挺正常的…… Good indie game. I bought the game and completed it within the day. It was quite fun. Personally speaking, I think the female characters look alright. I don't understand why there were so many negative reviews about female characters' appearance. I would say it's quite unfair to the developers...

总的来说是个制作非常认真的游戏，很有意思，故事性和趣味性都很高，而且不难。有些点还可以再深挖一下。推荐！

非常好玩的游戏，玩了一整天。 一个小建议，主角在完成心愿的过程中，如果能和周围的（家人朋友邻居等）人分享并产生一些参数甚至剧情上的结果就更好了。现在感觉主角在这方面有些孤独，仿佛家务事和爱好是完全不同的两个世界了。

Love the art style and some of the mini-games are quite fun. Music also giving a nostalgic vibe. Apparently certain life-goal setting & sub-events are a bit difficult to balance and sometimes you'll have to give up / skip sub-events due to the lack of turns, but I think the latest update has addressed this. Also I'd like to point out that the overwhelming amount of negative reviews does not represent the quality nor the playability of this game. People are leaving harsh comments simply because the Dev team changed certain dialog / graphic that was a little sexist (or should I say was gender stereotyping?) in one of the updates to make the game more “neutral" per se. Good for the Dev team to address that! Kinda sad because based on the amount of petty and entitled comments, not a lot of people here understand what's like to respect the opposite gender. Overall a very well-made game! Would recommend.

退休题材的低配的侠客风云传/女神异闻录5/风花雪月...能明白这个意思吧，总之就是好好好好好好好好。退休题材被做出了特色。 听了朋友的一些想法，感觉确实事件驱动有一些局限了游戏的自由度，缩减了退休玩法的丰富性，一直赶事件反而显得非常不退休，这倒也是一个问题。

Listen, I want to preface this by saying I don't know anything about this game beforehand, or any past or current controversies that this game might be involved in. If any Dexerto journalists are reading this, i would like to caveat that I'm making this comment for a Youtube video. I liked the art. I wish I could play in my native language (English), but understand that not all games need to cater to my language and demographic and that is totally okay and fine :)

First off, great theme. I spent about 3 days playing through this game for the first time. It's really entertaining playing as a retiree from Northern part of China. Throughout the game, I loved its humour and upbeat tempo. Currently the game simulates the first two years of retirement. Year 2 has a bit less content than Year 1 - understandable as this is still an early access game. Hoping to see 1) an retiree from Southern China; 2) get items from work and interests e.g. fish from fishing that can be used in cooking 3) the impacts of Aiju's nurture on his granddaughter Mengmeng; 4) other point of view - playing as other characters of the game to participate in the same story line.

I don't think the current review is a fair one. From what I see from the discussion panel, it seems that the game's developers changed one or a couple female characters' portraits from a rather sexy image to a more conserved one, after receiving feedback from female players. This action seems to have triggered the Chinese male players and they left negative comments for this game. However, imo this is not a bad game to look into the retirement life. Life's gonna be so great if I still had the energy to become an influencer or travel the world after retirement lol. The only thing I do wish for is for players to select the protagonist's gender at the start of them game.

It's a pretty good game with a lot of fun for its price. The recent bad reviews are mostly irrelevant to game play. The game included a few female characters with cleavage and gender stereotypical dialogue. This was scolded by feminists on China's social media platforms, and the developer took immediate steps to update the game and replaced these content in less than 2 days. However... Angry feminists rate down the game claiming this was a planned publicity stunt, especially given how fast the developer responded. Angry anti-feminists rate down the game for being politically correct and catering to the interests of feminists. Double lose for the developer :/

This game is made by and for Chinese people. There's no English translation for it, and the plots only make sense under the Chinese culture. For example, non-Chinese people may find it hard to understand why their wife is in charge of their retirement money. However, Chinese players can relate to a lot of the random events happened in the game, which is the reason I recommend this game (to Chinese players only).
