Would Not Recommend. Observations are as follows: - Some graphics in the game remind me of playing on a Nintetdo 64 console. There's a bit a charm in the retro style graphics, but when combined with other issues with the game, become less endearing. - Controls are designed for a Vive, and transfer decently to an Index Controller. On the Index, either the joystick or trackpad work for movement, but the smooth locomotion feels off at times, sort of like you thought you were moving forward, but am now going diagonal for an unkown reason. It doesn't always happens, but when getting killed enough, it becomes annoying. - Understanding how the drones detect you needs to be explained in the game. As is, I have no clear understanding on how they detect me, other than either (i) the game flashes a detection warning on the screen (which can be easy to miss), or (ii) when one comes up from behind me and I'm dead before I know it. Shooting at them brings them down, and their death animation reminds me of an SNES/N64 game. - For the guards/statues at opposite ends of the level, I'm guessing if you get too close, they open fire on you, because I'm getting killed a lot when I get near them. When they fire I have no idea how they detect/track me, so all I can do is simply run away. Even ducking behind a truck they were able to pick me off (no drones were in the area at the time). - The mines are decently cameoflagued, and you have to keep an eye out for them. There are times where I think a mine blew me up, when I would swear on someone else's life it wasn't there previously. - At the main menu, there is a options tab, and I have no idea on how to access using the explanation of the Vive Wand layout, but selecting New Game and Exit works fine. As such the current gun angle is horrendous, and I have no understandable way of adjusting it. The gun works fine, but its sound effects are underwhelming. - Why there is an HMD-controlled reticule permenantly on the screen, I have no idea. I have yet to figure out a valid use for it. - There is some kind of status indicator on one of your wrists, that I discovered by accident when I stopped playing the second time (maybe due to the gun angle). I'll try the game again to see if this helps in any way. - I actually found one of the 4 pieces once, and it was purely by wondering what that small. weird blob on the floor was. - My default height in the game makes me feel like Frankenstein. I believe I understand what the developer is going for in the game, but the quality of its implementation is so scattered, that the game quickly becomes frustrating. The developer also makes mention of those familiar with VR will have a better timewith the game. Granted, I've only been playing with VR for 3+ years, so I wonder what the entrance criteria is. I'll give the game a few more tries to see if it gets better, or if I was just ignorant when it came to understanding the gameplay. If it doesn't gets better, or if there is no feedback/path forward form the developer, then a refund will be sought.
