I actually bought this game when I watched Pixelated Apollo play it on YouTube one time. So I ended up buying it on sale and trying it out for myself! Pros: If you are someone who loves historically accurate games, this is for you! Cons: You are only LIMITED to a few units that being only Hastati, Triarii, and Legionaries. I do wish there was an upgrade to give you more powerful Roman units! Like I know there's a leveling system for you to gain more gold, attack speed/damage, and health regen. But please this is the Roman military! They gotta have the elite units! I'm not sure why the devs didn't add in more units in, I mean come on It's the Roman military for gods sake! The AI loves to cheat and TURTLE back into their last spawn point, I nearly just gave up as the AI kept taunting me with sending fresh troops each time and replenishing their pilum throwing defenders. The AI also loves to parry you, even doing a shield toss to ragdoll you on the ground. At times I was wondering were my hits were even registering half the time since I was clearly getting swarmed. Kind of did wish the pilum had a little cross hair on where to aim your shots, half the time I had to angle my shots to make them hit from a distance. As a lot of negative reviews did mention cat and mouse, yeah once you get deeper into the campaign there is more posts you need to capture and hold. Did anyone else mention how there is no further upgrades for the unit capacity? I kind of had to balance how many defenders I needed on a post and attackers I needed to attack. Multiplayer is kind of dead, only managed to check that tab and I only found two hosts hosting a four versus free for all. Probably not worth investing into. One last con before I leave, there is only two difficulties in the game easy and normal I tried playing on normal I could hardly pass the first mission given how the AI already has cheats enabled to make it more difficult for you, and given the janky controls, hitboxes, and what not. So I switched to easy after, I managed to get pass the two levels before giving up on level three as mentioned about the AI turtling/cheating on their last spawn lol! On my final score, it was a fun game it just sucks that the devs didn't manage to fix some problems that I mentioned or expand the unit rosters. They did do some minor updates like giving us Greece, Persia, and Egypt as playable multiplayer factions. Gonna give it 5/10 also big shout out to Pixelated Apollo!

game of cat and mouse except it never ends... until the time runs out its so annoying and tedious to finish the levels. once there is only one enemy team left, its basically impossible to beat them because they just keep running around capturing bases and you keep chasing them until time runs out. i dont think ive ever finished a level by eliminating all the enemies.

Add calvary, a stable to get horses at. Able to hire Praetorian guards. ect, rank your men to different ranks. Like Centurion would be able to lead the men around based off the orders you give.

It may look goofy but it is a very fun game to play by yourself or with others. My only issue is some of the levels are extremely difficult on the harder mode but that might just be a skill issue on my part
