Fantastic concept, very distinguished worlds. Or trip :)

Confusing at first, but obvious indications to an underlying logical system makes it an interesting puzzle to solve.
With no time pressure and complete freedom, it is a chill and relaxing walking-simulator with some beautiful and interesting visuals. Worth the price for someone looking for some quite different gameplay experience.

RAMIWO is not your average game. It has no traditional gameplay, no quests, no puzzles. And it's not very long either. It is about experiencing .. small, sometimes intense and surreal scenes. Some are disturbing, others are quiet and relaxing. And that is it. It's different yes, but in a very positive way.

Slow, jarring, and confusing. Played for 10 minutes and found nothing about it interesting. It's probably a tad better on a computer with higher specs, but still wouldn't recommend it.

Pretty cool idea and a realy nice game, if you just want to see something special and new. Also a nice relaxing experience(and I bet this one is insane if you are on LSD)

Visit multiple places, ranging from the ordinary to the dream-like.
That's it.
There's not much game to it, really, but I enjoyed my time with it immensely.
To some this would probably mean it's not for them, but I treated it like I'm out on a hike, photographing things. Made over 140 screenshots before I stopped playing and saw all the places, so I'd say I got my money's worth.
Also really liked the atmosphere. The graphic style feels like you're looking at photogrammetry mixed with the low-polygon look of 3d Google Maps, which I really dug, and it also added to the dream-like atmosphere.
It also probably helped that I ran the game at 1024x768 scaled up to a height of 1080 pixels (with added supersampling x2 through the console).
There is no settings menu or anything like that. Starting the game puts you directly into the game world and pressing ESC quits the game. It also doesn't seem to support resolutions above Full HD, but I know my way around console commands, so I wasn't too put off by it.
I do think having at least a settings menu to tinker with the resolution would give the game a much better first experience, but playing through the game like I did or rather had to, did add to my experience.
Not a game I'd expected to see on Steam. Feels more like something on itch.io, but glad nonetheless that I played it, even if it took me over a year to do it (bought it on release, lol).
Oh and it felt really nice playing this, when I'm pretty much stuck at home now for over a year, like a little vacation, so thank you very much for that!

Excellent art direction, but ultimately too abstract as a game. One thing that really bothered me is that I couldn't properly explore the different environments. The map change triggers always pull you out way too soon. If that's intentional, as to simulate a dream-like stitching between different sequences.. well, it sounds cool on paper, but quite frustrating when playing. The only reason why I'm recommending this is because it's so different. I would love to see another take on this idea, except more friendly towards the player with regards to exploration. Check out Paratopic, Promesa or Thirty Flights of Loving for a better idea of what I mean.

Beautiful and surreal game that fascinated me really strongly. Some of the landscapes look like a low-poly version of an old master oil painting, others like a phychodelic trip. Playing the game feels like doing a journey through someones memories.

I like the concept, but there are a few things that make it more of a headache than an enjoyable exploration game. You have a 3D cube that essentially works like a map, you can use it locate yourself while teleporting between surreal worlds. Here is a problem, it only takes about 3 seconds of walking into any direction for you to teleport, not only it's very annoying, you never get to explore any of those interesting maps. Now I understand that those maps don't have any content, but that is exactly my criticism, where is the fun in a walking simulator if I don't get to walk around and look. I enjoyed games like LSD: Dream Emulator and ONOW because you could explore at your own pace and find some weird places, but here it feels like the game is flashing in front of my eyes. Unfortunately, to me this game feels like quantity over quality - I think it's better to make fewer locations that player can explore than to have a slide show of maps that you can navigate for 3 seconds. Even if you make a walking simulator where you can only look at things, you have to make that process enjoyable by adding more free exploration so I get that sense of discovery. The concept is there, but the effort is not.

No, no, no. This won't do at all.
Ramiwo's trailer and blurb made it enticing to me. I have played a lot of these kinds of games and Ramiwo just isn't that trippy, artsy or even good.
----------
PROS
+ a lot of effort has gone into the sound. Each zone has a unique music and sound effects that go with it.
+ ....... uhh........ok this is awkward.....sorry. That's all I got.
________
CONS
- zero options. Esc exits the game.
- oh look, a telephone pole.....uninspired areas. For a game that is going to put its art front and centre, there was nothing really different or interesting about each zone. Sure, I liked the Inception style folded over roads in some of the places but that was it. And quite frankly a lot of the things just look like assets from the Cryengine bundle that Humble sold last year. Cryengine has the ability to look super sweet and this game squanders that.
- movement. So I guess at worst its a trippy game that I can wander around and take some pretty sick screenshots? Uhhh, no. If you take 4 steps in the wrong direction you blink into the next zone. So good luck trying to frame this "art" for a nice screencap. The game zips through zones so randomly it started to give me a headache. There are supposed to be 4 exits per area. You can clearly see them. Sometimes you need to take about 20 steps towards it for the next zone to trigger. Sometimes its just 3 or 4. Perhaps this is the developers plan. All I'm saying is it wasn't fun and hell, if you are selling the game on being trippy and arty then PLEASE, let me wander around a bit and enjoy it from different angles. I guess there are secret exits from each zone but then it becomes a game of navigate the invisible minefield.
______________
And that's it. That's all I have to say. The developers have made a game that I feel I am not allowed to enjoy. I rarely write negative reviews but for this one I feel like I have to. This looks like a first project for the devs and I really hope they up their game.....in this one or the next. But as it stands at the moment of this review, this game is at best a demo and is not worth 5 bucks.
