I was expecting something similar to the previous games... but they've gone with "annoying click-fest" as a gameplay model instead. Garbage.

I LOVE this game. I thought it was funny, love the rpg tech tree. Yes it is lacking content and worth it on sale, but definitely would place this in the mostly positive category

This game is worth playing if you get it as part of a bundle, but that's about it. The premise is decent enough: Cartman prays for snow, there is a huge blizzard, school gets canceled, and the kids go out to play. As with The Stick of Truth and The Fractured But Whole there is of course a conspiracy plot thrown in, though it's not really compelling enough to get fully invested in.
The game as a whole feels kind of slapped together. There are 5 story missions to go through. Yes, that's right, 5. Each takes about 30-45 minutes to do. This is balanced by the difficulty scaling such that you're encouraged to play through them more than once, with an optional horde mode to let you incrementally advance. So instead of giving you hours of varying content like the previous games did, you get the same content over and over.
Within stories, though, missions are as varied as "defeat all the enemies" and "defeat all the enemies." Abilities are mostly random rolled throughout levels via the card system, which provides balance while also having barely any depth of strategy. There are some permanent upgrades you can buy via the second of the three currencies (yes, it's one of those games,) but instead of actually balancing the skill tree they just made it a boring "each skill you buy costs more than the last," regardless of the order you buy them in.
The 3D graphics look nice, but nothing Unity couldn't have turned out in an afternoon. The snowy background gets a bit boring after a while. They should have just made this a mobile game.

I really love this game and had a lot of fun with my husband playing it. Personally, I really don't get the hate for this game.
A lot of people have beef with this game because:
1. It doesn't play like Stick of Truth or The Fractured But Whole.
2. It's "too short and easy"
However You have to keep in mind:
1. It's a completely different developer. They're going to do their own thing and this feels like a trial run to see what works and doesn't as they likely prepare for a bigger main line game.
2. It was never advertised to be exactly like the previous 2 south park installments. I thought it was pretty clear that it was going to be different.
3. It is really more of a side game than a main line game. Yes it takes place later in the timeline than the last two games but that doesn't mean that it's main line.
4. ITS $30. Expecting a game the same size and complexity of a game like SoT and TFBW at a $30 price tag is honestly delusional and it's your fault for expecting the same kind of game and being disappointed.
5. It only has five missions, but they expected you to replay them with different friends, but also, Back for Blood is just the same missions on repeat and also uses a card build method and I genuinely found that game to be more boring.
6. You should be playing on the difficulty that suits you. Now maybe this is just me, but I'm an AVID gamer. I'm typically better at games than the average joe, so I adjust my difficulty accordingly. I've been playing on Hard and found myself having to repeat some levels. I'm also going to go ahead and suspect that there's people going for the min/max builds while playing and then getting mad that the game was too easy. It's like saying BG3 is too easy and then using Barrelmancy to beat half/all the difficult bosses.
The game still has the South park Humor and feels like a call back to the N64 game where you were just throwing snowballs at turkeys the whole time. Except this time you have weapons and it's kindergarteners.
If you go into this game with the mindset that it is it's own game and not a 3rd installment to the main line SP games, then its highly likely you will enjoy it. However, if you're expecting a $60/$70 dollar game from a $30 price tag, yeah, you're going to be disappointed. Adjust the difficulty to your average skill level, get a good friend or 3 and just play the game for what it is and you're likely to have a good time.

Awful. Simply awful.
The gameplay is boring, repetitive and clunky. The story lacks any of that South Park charm you get in the first two games. The level design is really poor, and the combat is very samey, basic and underwhelming.

A little challenging, but if you're a South Park Fan or enjoy 3D beat em up story based games, then this one isn't a bad choice! 8/10

With all my love to South Park I would rather just watch full completion then playing it myself. It's much worse at all ways than previous games.

Total trash.
It's the incarnation of a piece of crap, but by far not as nice as Mr. Hanky.
Gameplay look-and-feel is annoying, camera movement a pain in the butt.
I really tried it. For more than five hours. But no, absolutely no way.
Stick with the Stick of Truth and save your money not buying this one.
