Rebellion GODSOUL: Awakening Steam Charts & Stats

Before going over what is good about the game, I will first talk about some issues. Some issues regarding the game are the very common ones such as translation (mistranslated text/no translations/font size especially in some cases of Faith's tutorial explanations), and voice acting (main cast doesn't have JP VA and so do some Linkers) but these are things that they do plan to work on as said in their roadmap. Nothing that irreversibly hinders your gameplay for the most part. There are lots of things unfinished as well especially regarding the affinity stories of Kami, Lincy, and Hoshimu. The story itself is like Persona 5. Nothing much to be said there as you can easily tell from the continuous use of the term "Rebellion". It does get a bit dark especially with Kami's backstory but I mean, from a persona 5 inspired story, I think this was on par for the course. Though compared to persona 5, the story is a bit lighter... I guess? The gameplay itself is quite easy to be honest (I play on normal mode). During my time before unlocking Lincy, I was able to steamroll through the first 2 chapters with 2 decks with just Kami: a HP Burn deck and a Discard deck. Even after unlocking Hoshimu, you can just get by using Kami and Lincy cards and just have Hoshimu there for the extra Linker support or vice versa with DPS Hoshimu and Kami Linker support (at least where I am at which is Chapter 5). And the items just make it a whole lot easier. For those who want a challenge, I'd say this isn't a challenging game for the most part unless you go out of your way to make it challenging. For casual players, this isn't bad at all. Linkers are cute as well and there are a lot of them so there is a bit of building versatility. There is an endgame tower mode but I have yet to touch it. Gameplay does get a bit repetitive especially trying to 100% each exploration area. Doesn't take too long but still takes awhile especially when you have to rebattle all enemies. Art? Very much like the art and CGs. All in all, this game is decent. It does struggle with English, and I do hope the upcoming updates do well in fixing some of the translation issues for English players, but for the most part, this is a decent casual game. I rate it a 6.5/10. Not the best, but for what it gives so far and for what it has in the future, I hope it gets better for it to become at least 1 rating higher. I'd get it when it is on sale.

Thought the game is similar to ChronoArk so bought it. Turns out it's an inferior version of it. The story is very naive, level design is boring and battle presentation is meh. Refund requested.
