Great, actually. Really unique concept and while a little iffy on story and pitch, it's one of the few steam games I picked up and replayed
For its price, gotta say, easy pick

I've continuously put this game off- off and on for lack of better word but this game isn't good enough at holding my attention beyond the few moments it had, the gimmick of using speed to do damage to your enemies is a fun one but due to the corridor/maze-like maps between a few open and very perilous catwalks, it just doesn't do much. The load times for a game like this are far too ridiculous for a game that's graphics and modeling shouldn't need to deal with this much.

Not sure if i can recommend it in good conscience.
A very short and barebones game that's janky and sometimes a little frustrating.
It feels oldschool in the way where the physics and hit detection doesn't seem consistent and the feedback to know when you land hits feels not very direct.
The looks of the game are very rudimentary which i thought suited it well. It presented an enjoyable atmosphere. I play a bunch of Quake Champions and went in hoping for Scalebearer: the game. But this feels more like a tech demo.
It has charm as a sort of lost old experimental jousting game but I wouldn't have paid full price. Mostly due to the level of finish/polish and the fact that it's only a few levels.
I feel bad giving it a negative review but for anyone going in expecting something substantial but jank or polished while being ok with it being short might be left feeling a bit disappointed.
I applaud the dev for making something like this and would love to see a more thought out, expanded and responsive feeling version of a game like this. Thinking about how to maintain flow with the leveldesign or maybe some extra weapons or abilities is something that could use some experimentation. In the last level being stopped in your tracks due to one monsters projectiles got a bit frustrating for example and made me wish for more options to either stun or dodge without losing all momentum
People who love old janky games, the atmosphere of quake 1 and experimental short games might still get a kick out of this.
PS:
Thanks to MeathThrasher's comment i got to crank up the fov to 130 which really alleviated much of the games feel. This is the copypasted fix in case his comment gets buried or deleted or something.
1) open file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Daemonic Runner\core\ed_ini.txt
2) find the 11th line (#10#128,...)
3) change the number after "128," to a big number (my line looks like this: #10#128,110)
4) save & exit

The game is ok. It has a mixed feeling of Sonic with gameplay of classic Thief games. Although it was meant to be like Quake. This game is short, all you have to do is run and jump attack enemies with sword. You also get a shotgun which isnt helping much comparing to a sword where it gets stronger as you run faster. It can be difficult though. Aside from that, gameplay is decent for me.

Amazing gameplay, feels great to run very fast and impale enemies on your sword.
Only about an hour long, too short to buy at full price.
Some things are trash: FPS is capped at 60, FOV is capped at 69 (haha funny joke dev).
How to modify FOV:
1) open file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Daemonic Runner\core\ed_ini.txt
2) find the 11th line (#10#128,...)
3) change the number after "128," to a big number (my line looks like this: #10#128,110)
4) save & exit
FPS is unfixable due to game physics being tied to it.

Well i didn´t know what i had in my hands until I started playing this game. It is quite interesting and has a unique gameplay style. The game is best described as running in circles with a sword only capable of stabbing your foes. Only important is you speed and monetum so maps are made in various circles. Cool funny and quite challenging but for sure one thing. Short
It ends when the games starts to get harder. The story and all those is completely unimportant so for a hour or two fun without replay value you can go for it.
it would have been better two add more content or decrease the price. Right those things wont work together. Nevertheless its a good game.

Sergey Bobrov has shown a lot of promise but it seems like almost all of his releases lack polish and feel half-abandoned. Daemonic Runner is a similar case. Cool idea and excellent style (as is the case with all of his games) but lacks polish. Gravity can feel very weird and you frequently find yourself hitting the ceiling which messes up the momentum and flow.

Peculiar combination of Sonic and Thief mechanics, that's it. Also reminds of jump-pads from Quake 3, which is obviously a nice thing.

What a weird game.
Speed is your friend here. The faster you go, the more your jump-attack does. If you have no momentum, your only attacks are your shotgun (which is weak, ironically) and a pre-set number of heavy attacks with your sword. You get ammo for the shotgun and heavy attack charges by landing good hits on some enemies. What a cool idea though: You're basically a moving weapon by your own momentum.
However, the issue here is the gameplay feels incredibly unfinished, there's almost no feedback with enemies and hits really don't feel like they land when you swear they should... It's all incredibly clunky and although it can feel really good to torpedo through 4-5 enemies at once, you can find yourself in a dead stop due to the frustratingly cramped level design and lack of attention on gameplay-enhancing designs and mechanics.
Aesthetically this game is really cool. A strange mix of playstation-ey kind of warpy graphics and something like Thief and Quake series. It's really cool to look at and I did like the momentum screen wobble. Woosh!
Extra points for the tongue in cheek dialogue that does little more than to carry the game. Story is practically nonexistant but the (admittedly short) dialogue at the beginning and end of the game did make me smile a few times.
Load times are abysmally long for a game like this. It's really bad.
Length is another issue and perhaps the prime: I beat the game in just over an hour. 9 dollars seems pretty steep to charge for this little content..?
Overall the game just feels woefully unfinished which is a damn shame because with a few more tweaks, a little polish and a handful more levels this could have been a solid recommendation, but in it's current state it just isn't worth it unless it's on sale-- then perhaps. The only demographic I can see this appealing towards is speedrunners looking for something a little different.

A first person run and stab game. Very fast: you run fast and the game ends fast. The levels form circles of varying sizes and you run around them impaling dozens of knights and demonic monsters of some sort with a rusty sword. Very fun.
