Pilfer is a very casual game that can be completed in under 2 hours by anyone. Simple graphics and game concept make it a fun way to pass an hour. In terms of cost, you get approximately what it's valued at. Overall a good game!

A tiny steal-em-up with Skyrim-like stealth (explore the town freely, memorize schedules, break into houses, steal everything in sight). Although it has little replay value and a short length, the game has a unique art style that helps its atmosphere in nearly every department. In my opinion, its worth 2 dollars, but only just about.
100% in Under an Hour
I respect Sokpop's effort too much to cheese a cheeky refund for 100%-ing this game in under an hour. But it's a very simple theft arcade game with some quaint graphics.
It's Small, Not Much to Say
The clock is odd and the lighting system is strange and will sometimes leave you in total darkness for minutes before the next day dawns. It's a quick diversion, worth a dollar.

I really enjoy this game. Took 40 minutes to find everything, and it was pretty fun. Don't expect a super fleshed out stealth game, but for you what you pay you get a fairly fun little game.

lo-fi Skyrim-style thief simulator, complete with: - lockpicking - shoplifting - piling up your loot - secret doors - a day and night cycle - NPC routines and of course - being captured by guards 10/10 will "stop! thief!" again

You need to fix the lighting at night indoors but I love the dithering and low anti-aliasing look enough to forgive it.

An experimental curiosity in stealth. You loot what you can then dump your haul onto the floor of your hideout. It's quite satisfying. Nicking everything that isn't nailed down is fun, messing up lockpicking and immediately dying less so. Get everything in town and haul it home to win; which is funny to think about because if nobody has possessions except for you then I imagine it wouldn't be hard to figure out who took everything.
A Thief-lite game that costs $3 full-price. You get what you pay for.
I completed Pilfer in a little over half an hour. The problem with Pilfer is that its systems are TOO basic. A significant percentage of the homes are completely unoccupied at all hours of the day, despite what the description says about "Various NPCs with their own schedule." There's a few NPCs, and if they spot you lockpicking or stealing, death is more-or-less instant. There's no way to get a real sense of where you're visible and where you aren't, and trying to get a sense of when to enter a particular house often amounts to boredly waiting to see whether anyone actually enters and exits. There is some tension when you're lockpicking and not sure when an NPC might round the corner, especially when you've nearly completed your collection of loot. And the game is basically functional. I suppose for this price point, that's enough. Tepidly recommended, provided you buy it at a price point you feel is worth half-an-hour of gameplay.
