I have no idea how to explain where my brain is at right now, but I've genuinely been enjoying this. It's the very epitome of casual, a resource management game centered around the theme of Robin Hood, which was mainly how i discovered this. It's very simple- the mechanics can be learned literally in a handful of minutes, and your only button is clicking. Collect enough resources to successfully hit your goals and milestones, and try to do it in enough time that you get three stars.
Sometimes, you just need something with enough challenge to get you thinking, yet simple enough to relax and feel accomplished.
I do wish it had a bit more music, though- sorely tempted to turn the music off after listening to the same track on loop for about 9 hours of gameplay lol. It's a good track, don't get me wrong... it's just that it's the only one, lmao.

I hate to give this a thumbs down because I found the game very addictive... but the catapult absolutely ruined the game for me. I always play time management games in EASY / RELAXED mode when available and would have given a thumbs up even with the catapult but there were just WAY TOO MANY levels with it requiring either fast game play or extreme timing to get through all those levels. A few catapult levels would have been okay but (if I counted correctly) there were 7 of the main 45 levels and 3 of the 9 bonus levels with the catapult... almost 20% of the game! Thanks but no thanks!

This game has adorable art. Unlike many other road building games where the resources pop into existence, this one has animations of trees growing and stalls restocking. There are also clever cute ways for the characters to catch the guards and each one has its own custom art for the level. I think the main selling point is the aesthetics of it.
Gameplay is slow. The characters don't run very fast and often run all the way back to base before starting another task depending on how you queued them up. There are *lots* of things to click on instead of only resource buildings and the queue they follow can become very long very fast. So you end up sitting there waiting for them to finish the 25 tasks you've assigned them.
There are power ups like work speed and running speed but the timers on them are so slow you can only use them once per level. There also is no sound or light-up indicator when they're full so I found myself forgetting they were there a lot. That being said this game isn't very challenging. It's not like the Hercules series where one tiny mistake will ruin your time. This is a very casual, chill game to play and enjoy the lovely art.
