Wow! How have I not heard of this app until now? If you like chill, mesmerizing, and creative apps you should definitely check this one out. After spending a bit learning how everything works, I was able to submerse myself in something absolutely stunning. It also doubles as the best VR music visualizer I've seen yet. A masterpiece in my book!
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my live review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/VFd4YSbidnY This is probably one of the most underrated gems on Steam VR. Part of the reason is definitely because this game only works on the Oculus Rift / Meta Quest headsets. You must use the Oculus SDK. Unfortunately, many VR gamers had the HTC Vive back in 2019 so this game didn't get to be experienced by about half the VR population on Steam. That's unfortunate because this is probably the best particle physics sandbox. It's also a pretty darn good music visualizer. The physics and visuals are mesmerizing as you see dust particles float around as they are manipulated by the different tools. You can just trip out and zone out watching the particles dance in the abyss. I created my own scenes, although you can also use the ones provided (17 in total I believe). I turned on some Tool from YT and tripped out. This is a must buy for anyone at all interested in this type of experience. Keep in mind, there is no gameplay and this is not a game. It's a sandbox for those who want to be artistic, but perhaps don't have the best natural artistic talent.
Written By Hidden Gems Review : https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38624426/
Particulate it's more than a VR game looks like a science project. As you can see in the video you can manipulate particles in a lot of diferent ways looks more like a study of how works the universe with the gravitation more than a game, but i'm sure anyone can enjoy playing with this. There are several modes absorbing, pushing, hitting the partices ect... and really well acomplished the physics part. While I was doing all that I don't know why the particles got increased in number not sure if they divide in more little particles or what. You can see my Gameplay here : https://youtu.be/iU40ps2gOVk

Particulate is an absolutely breathtaking experience for VR. We played it amongst friends and it became an instant favorite. The trailers and pictures can't accurately portray what you'll see and feel in VR; it looks amazing from the preview material, but experiencing it yourself brings it to a whole other level. This is the best particle simulator that I have tried thus far and I've tried a few now at this point. Get this game. Do it now. Support the developers.

Pretty meditative physics sandbox, especially with audio reactivity enabled. Had a very relaxed time effectively making my own Windows Media Player visualisations. Do wish there were more variety in the basic tools (like different collision shapes) but for the price and the simplicity of using it you can hardly go wrong. Hope it does get expanded out to steamVR in the future sometime so more people can enjoy, especially with the oculus facebook requirement ramping up soon. Would hate for this to be lost in the future.

It's a gem in the barren land of VR: great idea with polished interface and stellar performance. Give it a try if you're at least a bit playful. Just note that playtime/$ is particularly low, but that shouldn't be an issue for an owner of a VR headset.

Absolutely beautiful and calming engine for me it is very fun to spend time in and imagining every single little glowing dot is a star or some kind of universe we have never seen before for sure a 9/10 for me only issue is how with audio visualisation it doesnt have an option to turn off it going super fast to lots of noise.
