It's not really explained why Suzunaan was on fire but still an alright game. You guide Kozusu through 5 worlds and that's it. No ending or anything but sorta fun. Yeah

Do not underestimate the wires.
Do not think about the impossible level.
Do not think about the broken star system.
Look at *her.*
She's the love of your life, brother.
Look at her. Bask in her glory.

tl;dr: typical meme game on steam that devs weren't even bothered to play it themselves. If you had 2 dollars to spend and you didn't care about what to spend on I'd rather suggest you picking up Touhou Suzunaan (Forbidden Scrollery) digital manga on Amazon for an extra 3 bucks. The original manga, which this meme was based on, was a great series that every Touhou fan should read. It honestly deserves much more respect than this.
I like supporting Touhou fangames and their creators, and I really don't mind playing amateur/student-level games as long as they put their heart into it, but this one is apparently not the case.
One thing that every responsible designer will do for a puzzle game is to make sure that every puzzle has a workable solution. The game currently only has 26 stages while 6 of them are tutorials, yet 4 of them are simply impossible to get 5 stars. And they weren't like complex puzzles that would take a lot of time to test. It's bloody obvious for anyone who actually went through the game to notice the impossibility.
I had analyzed all the impossible stages within about 30 minutes, while the image editing took about half of the time.

In short:

3-4: You have to give up the book from the start otherwise you will take damage while using icicle. Impossible to get 5 stars. Takes about 2 minutes to playtest.

4-2: ANYONE who had played through the game at least once would've known from one glimpse that you will need at least TWO jump items to get all books without touching fire.

4-4: Same as 3-4, not enough steps to get all books. Takes about 1 minute to figure it out.

4-5: This one the designer simply gave up and made everything symmetrical (so it looks good I guess?) but also impossible to get all books without taking damage.
There are also various issues such as incomplete translations, achievement system not registering item uses properly, wanky camera controls, unclear objective such as "negative traps"... Weird designs such as unnecessarily large room, totally useless items, etc. But those are very common issues that inexperienced devs will make and I totally understand it.
BUT, the fact that out of 20+ developers in the credits (I don't know what the hell "acknowledgment" even means here), with shiny titles like "project director", "executive director", "creative director", "art director"..., yet NONE of you even PLAYED through the game YOU made is truly disheartening to me.
And let's be fair, you can find this kind of puzzle game from game jams that even had more content with 1-2 students made in a few days. I'm honestly confused about what you people actually did for this game.
You may ask why I'm so serious about a 2-dollar meme game, and here's the answer: I have faith and respect in Touhou devs that they love the series and they want to show their best in their fangames, and I want to repay such respect by playing them with all heart and supporting them as much as I can. But now I just feel like an idiot.
When ZUN first released his statement that everyone is free to publish Touhou derivative games on Steam, we kinda worried that Steam would be filled with shovelware but that only happened twice ever since. Please don't be like them and actually put some efforts in the game rather than "directing" for nothing.
