Grindy buggy broken garbage, nothing positive to say about it.

The control pad does NOT respond at the title screen. When I tried using the mouse controller, I see no cursor to see where I'm able to see where I'm pointing to. Also during the game the controls just lock out after talking to Alek (npc)!!!! I will change my recommendation once they improve the controls for both keyboard AND the game pad controls!!

Hopefully with some QoL updates this will be a good game but there are sadly some bugs and in-game experiences that are disappointing/annoying. Might just be a skill issue, which I am willing to accept but got chased down by a "Goblin Boss" across the entire world, and after running for 10-15 minutes just got tired of it and just accepted fate at that point. Respawned, and my loot bag is in the ground unable to get to it. Had to sacrifice all of the leather and iron I gathered. Sucked but I moved on and kept going. Later I have my survival camp and I am cooking meat in the campire. While in the camp fire I went to go pause the fire to put more meat on, and when you see a big red option usually that is stop. Nah that was Destroy, which caused the entire survival camp to vanish. Lost 100 meat cooking, lost the 30 meat that was cooked, and lost an entire chest with iron ingots, food, and my gear. No prompt saying "Do you want to continue because this will make your entire camp, resources and chest vanish". Just instantly vanished. Wouldn't even be annoying if your resources in the chest and campfire dropped like a loot bag. Which would make the only loss the camp itself. However this is not the case. Do I take partial blame? Sure because I should slow my roll and maybe read, but having Destroy in a big read button right above "Start/Stop burning" for the campfire seems like bad placement. Is it a "Huge" loss? Nah, but if this is the beginning experience I had in the first 1.5hrs of the game, I was not willing to test my luck with late game items/gear vanishing like that with no option to retrieve them. Hopefully they work on some of these issues or address that as something to work on. ---------- 19.6hrs/ 6/14/25 Update------------ So the game has some good aspects to it, and has a lot of potential. There are still some QoL changes that I look forward to and hope will come. Currently the NPCs buy up land extremely fast and once they do, you're beat. Their towns never really get destroyed either so they are always secure. You can't really venture too far from your town (or towns if you choose to go that route or have the ability to get multiple) because your towns AI seems to go dormant but the enemy AI isn't. So you can have a bunch of soldiers hired to defend your town but they wont fend off the orcs/goblins attacking. I had 12 soldiers/4 archers and 10 buildings and 5 walls got destroyed by 3 small goblins. Also they don't seem to gather food while gone but they will absolutely devour what food you have made. On a positive note you can create multiple heroes and use them to manage your towns. Which is a cool idea for the game. The scaling seems to work well as you are weak in the beginning needing to be weary of where you go but as you build your character and gear you can stand your ground. Your AI villagers start out pretty weak with little to no stats but they don't need to depend on the goblin/orc attacks to level themselves as they will go to training dummies to better their stats. You also have the control to either manually upgrade their stats or let the game decide.

A great little game, which should be more popular.
