This game plays like an undergrad Comp Sci project. It's terrible. Stay away at any price.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Rebound Ball is an asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The Russian "developer" paid for/pirated someone else's example/template/tutorial game, changed the name/reskinned a couple of things, and submitted it to Valve as if it was their own game. This time they've ripped off a simple brickbreaker/Break Out clone with low poly 3D graphics, slapped their own name on it and carried on with their scam. meokigame have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work. An example of meokigame doing this is HUNTER BRICK BALL, which is really "Original Ballz : brick breaker demolition game - shoot the balls and break the blocks", written by the actual developers, Aleksa Racovic. Also, Range Ball, which is really "Break Blocks", developed by Pointless Clouds. Looks like they love to run asset flip scams on brickbreaker games, well, that's something new. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just pushing your mouse around like it's your finger on an iPhone screen. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is to be expected. Gamers just didn't take this low quality game seriously, and for good reason. Rebound Ball is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Note: Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not count towards your Game Collector counts, achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

I would love to say this is a simple and enjoyable game, but I can't. This is a broken buggy mess. Within 10 minutes I have had the balls disappear without getting a "You lose" message. I also had to paddle disappear and rotate... There also seems to be no way of telling which power up is which. For a dollar this game might not be bad, but I can't give it a favorable review with how buggy it is.
