If you answered yes to two or more questions, than you should buy this game. If you answered yes to 4 or more, than you will find value in the $25 asking price, rather than waiting for a sale. Take note, the game does not have a single player campaign, however the game can be played with slightly capable bots, on all the maps, allowing you to advance and unlock all of the weapons without ever playing against humans.
The game is fast, deep and strategic, especially for a VR game. You manage systems, augments, weapons, communication and coordination with your teammates, all in a glorious dance of mech combat. It's all here,
Iron Rebellion has an excellent and attentive community. The developers are in constant communication, with, and take suggestions, and even implement ideas from the community. Constant updates are released, and there is an active beta open to the public. This is one of the few small studios that deserves high praise. They are doing it right.
Iron Rebellion is an excellent VR game and I highly recommend it.

Honestly a very fun game, still has a semi devoted playerbase, mostly older guys. If it had an active playerbase, and balance adjustments to some guns, it would be much easier to recommend. Regardless, the gameplay is beyond fun, so I cannot help but leave it a positive review.

Best controls for a mech game I've ever seen. The cockpits have so much attention to detail and I'm so immersed when I play. Its suffering from a player count problem atm but its still really fun to play against bots or to just jump into someone else's hosted game. Super easy to get into a match regardless. I don't think this game gets as much credit as it deserves and I cant wait for it to catch on.

I would leave a Neutral review if I could, but $25 for an already-dead EA is a tough sell. Wait for further development and *especially* a sale, we'll have to see where the developers take this.
The game is very simple and arcade in contrast to what the presentation might lead you to expect. It looks great on screenshots, but looks and runs unimpressive in VR. It does feels very immersive until the wow factor wears off and all you're left with is a near-empty server list and the same people/meta loadouts over and over again.
The UX is bad especially for VR, sounds are hit-or-miss (with weapon sounds and feedback being the worse offenders). Multiplayer wise, there are 0 server management features for hosts, poor weapon balancing, bizarre lag compensation (teleports galore), and bugs even when we're past early-access: I just had all of my unlocks/stats randomly reset overnight, so I won't bother to grind everything back up just to be competitive again, because all but two weapons are useless.
If/when single-player and some form of co-op come out to justify the tag, I will revisit this.
