WAIT FOR A SALE
The game is pretty decent. The mechs look good and the controls are easy to learn. Moving, aiming and shooting is satisfying and overall it's a pretty polished system.
The only cons I had with this game is the fact that there's a big lack of maps, and the current maps aren't visually interesting or tactical. There also seems to be some balance problems where some fights can be incredibly one sided depending on what mech you use. Along with that, the game isn't very big so you might not be able to join a match with lots of players.
Overall, the main mech gameplay is good, but everything else needs improvements. I'd suggest to wait for a sale and then buy it. I can see big potential for this game in the future

I got Iron Rebellion on quest first as my pc ain't up to much, love everything about the game and the community are super nice and helpful, some squeekers on but that's what the mute button is for.
started in training and now doing battles and different modes, uplink my fav, so I decided to try on steam and it runs perfectly, 120 fps super smooth on my old 3070 ti via quest 3,
my eyeballs are drying up so only downside is regular breaks and a cuppa tea, its well worth the 15 quid i gave quest and 20 quid on steam,
never suffered motion sickness on the many pc vr, quest or indeed psvr2 games, this took 5 mins to get used to but now i'm physically leaning as i drift my mech around trying not to die,
give it a try, its one of a kind and has so much potential and devs are committed and active 10/10 devs well done!!

this is in my opinion a great game...the community is amazing yes they are lacking some maps and what not but this is still being worked on .... i havent found any bugs or issues while playing.... there are buttons in the cab that u can press but do nothing atm so im guessing there is still more to come... ya its a little on the high side for price if ur not into this style of game.. that being said im not upset with my purchase at all.. had some great moments in game and some funny ones as well...the controls are easy to use. even with only using the hand controls for vr u dont really feel not immersed... sometimes the lobbys take a while to load up due to chatting... that being said the ability to talk to the enemy team in game using world voice chat or switching to team chat is nice as well.. there is alot and not alot of options for mechs or weapons and combos ... finding the right one for u can be a little hard .... i would love to see custimaztion of mechs and a little more in depth stuff.... maybe like create and avatar and have a central hub where everyone can hang out more like a mmorpg style with missions u can do with people or friends in a pve environment as well, not just pvp.. but thats what i would love to see... anyway love this game i know i only got 9 hrs in the game so far but im not gonna stop playing ..

Can't really look up, can't really look down, bad mix with verticality in some maps. Maps are bland, content is slim. Cool game overall but needs to be 15 bucks tops.

Unfortunately the game is dead. Steamcharts for VR games always look bad, because most players play on Quest versions. But in the day that I was playing I only found a single server with players in it, and it was on a test map with greyboxes. No interesting terrain or objective play, just a simple KOTH game mode with one point in the dead center.
Mechs also move extremely fast while they're "sprinting" and the energy meter for sprint can last a very long time. Coming into the game I expected something more slow paced, especially since a selling point is that you actually reach around the cockpit to interact with various sub-systems during combat! It seems very cool at first. Instead of something like Mech Warriors, we got something more like AC6 but without the auto-aim system that game has (dependant on how the mech is built in AC.)

Absolutely amazing that such a small dedicated team can make something so fun. Really looking forward to all that comes down the line with this one. Great community as well!

One of the most underrated vr games ever. A bit overpriced but worth it to support the project. Its only getting better from here and the core gameplay is already pretty great.

Drops you into PVP with a very minimalist tutorial; there are very few people playing, and they aren't people who just started. There's no PVE content as far as I have been able to find, and the co-op is limited to team PVP.
I should've tried the game before its return period expired.

unfortunately the games only pvp and its dead rn so I wouldn't recommend getting it although there are bots that u can fight against. I think the gameplay and interaction with the cockpit is really cool and fun, it really feels like im piloting and managing a mech.

The game had an "overwhelmingly positive" score when I bought it, but it turns out that was mostly just people hoping the game sticks around and gets more stuff added to it. I'm hoping that in the future I can come back and edit my review to positive, but as of now I really can't recommend this game (and I'm kind of upset that the other reviews misled me into buying it).
The videos I saw led me to believe that I was getting something akin to vtol vr but with mechs. Unfortunately for this game, there aren't any systems being modeled behind the cockpit controls. For example, those four switches you hit to start the mech? They're just four switches that enable each other in sequence. What I was hoping was that they'd have systems behind them, e.g. a switch for the battery, reactor, gyros, etc. and then some ability to turn them on and off while playing and maybe even take battle damage that has different effects. e.g. if your reactor takes a hit, you could flip the switch to turn it off before it overloads and have a few seconds to maneuver away on batteries until you could power down and repair it in safe mode. Maybe your gyros could take a hit and your mech vibrates like crazy, leaving you to either slowly take damage while everything shakes around, shut the gyros off and risk falling over until you can get them repaired.
Instead of something cool like that, I essentially got dumbed down hawken with awkward controls and worse graphics.
