This game tries to be good just as much as I tried to enjoy it, Sadly we both failed. Even knowing that this was a smaller team going in, the game just isn't put together well. What little story I played in between the constant crashes wasn't captivating at all. Controls and weapons leave a lot to be desired. I sank an entire clip and a half of bullets into the first enemy you encounter. Every shot was a head shot and still didn't take them down. Everything feels sluggish. I was really looking forward to this when I first saw the game-play footage, unfortunately the game records way better than it plays. Maybe after some updates it'll be worth picking up, but I can't recommend it to anyone in it's current release.

Dev, if you read this, I recommend you read the recommendations area.
I haven't beaten this game yet, but I need to get this off my chest, this game is a case of a great idea on paper, but a horrible execution. This game has barely a story, with it having barely any direction. The gameplay is an atrocity. The combat is bland with barely any good qualities. Melee weapons act like a feather and do barely any damage to enemies, and it isn't fun to do that. The guns are alright, but they're not the best. The weapons don't deal a ton of damage. The inventory is also too small, so you get too much ammo and healing items to hold weapons and key items. About key items, there's no way to see those. The only way to see keys is to go to a locked door that can be opened with a key, and browse through the keys you have. Also, the keys you get and already used are still kept for no reason. The enemies are also so weird. The AI is awkward, the common enemies can tank a lot of hits, but it only took me three handgun shots to kill a monster twice my size. And the worst part about this is that the direction to where to go is non-existent, you will get stuck for a while in some areas for a while There was one that was inside a fridge in the hotel area. But I do think that it can come back with the Redux update, so I'll give some recommendations on what they can improve and change. Also, what's meant to be the ending, or am I stupid? That's the end of the review, I'll update this when the Redux update comes out. Edit here, I did beat it, and there's nothing that makes me change my mind and also nothing to add other than that though the boss was annoying to beat, that's it.
Recommendations:
Firstly, tweak the enemy health to be a little more "realistic" (just feeling better instead of them being sponges) or increase the weapon damage (especially with the melee weapons). Make the story a bit more interesting because it feels band for a while in the beginning. Also, improve the animations as some feel janky and stiff (but I won't judge you if you don't). Make the direction to continue the game more obvious (for example, when you get the key to the gas station, you can have the main character say "This looks like it's for the gas station" or something like that), I can't emphasize this enough, MAKE THE WAY FORWARD BETTER. I think the voice acting is already good enough. Also, include the player's body in the first-person cutscenes as the body being included or not is inconsistent. Tweak the enemy AI to make it more intelligent. Also, reduce the overall amount of enemies as it can get annoying to kill them all. And also add more checkpoints in this game, like when an objective is completed, or every other objective. I think that's all I have to recommend.
